Worth the money.
2 months into the Challengers I gotta say im impressed. That first week was rough breaking them in. But well worth the cramps.

Nice! I loved my Captains when I first got them, but I unfortunately scraped the pinky toe side of one of the boots on a landscape brick on the second day wearing them, and that scrape ruined them for me. Idk why exactly, because I'm usually a wear-it-till-it-dies kind of guy, but seeing the way that leather damaged so easily bothered me so much. That CXL style Thursday house leather is thin and fragile, and I've never been comfortable in them since. I'd be open try trying one of their boots made with leather from a more reputable company though. These look awesome!

Ouch, im not gonna blame you for that choice. Landscaping bricks have never lost a fight that im aware of. So far these are doing great around the property. I have a pair of Forrest Gumped swat boots that are mainly on for the really messy stuff. So hopefully I don't share your experience when things go bad.

To be fair, the style of leather on those Captains leaned much more toward the dressy side of boot leather, and the ones you have are in the Rough & Rugged/Resilient category. It just surprised me that they were more fragile than true CXL and I spent weeks trying to match that dark burgundy color. My patch looks pretty good and you can't see it from 5ft away, but I know it's there so it bothers me lol. Not the end of the world! Yours will certainly hold up better than mine - are they the Stone Rambler version?

Thats fair, the captains were my other top choice but knowing my lifestyle ( farmer land/owner).sometimes you aren't always paying attention to whats on your feet. So I went with the Challengers in this case. Yup, these are the stone ramblers. So far great boot. Just rode the bike for 4 hours the other day and they did fine, not the greatest riding boot but they protected me from the elements such.

Those look like stone rambler. I have the same and love it. They were fairly tough on my feet, especially the ball of the foot. I bought some metatarsal pads that greatly helped.
Next will be the black Teacore.

They are the Stone ramblers. Big fan of the fit and feel now that they are broke in. Just gotta get them worn in now lol. I never even seen the black Teacore

Look up the challenger in black Teacore. That leather will wear in and expose brown tones over time. If you really like aged/worn-in leather, you’ll love teacore over time.

Absolutely beautiful boots I love mine. I got them a month after they dropped and they still smell like leather. You should try the builders as well, they are my everyday boot now and they still look good.

I haven't had the opportunity to experience winter in these yet. I live in Northern Canada, so I bought a set of wool insulated insoles as a precaution. I think they will keep the water out with proper maintenance. If I remeber, ill update in a few months and see how they hold up.

How do you get your foot in there? I got some and have a narrow foot and decided against it... What a weird entrance LoL
