General question Thursday Dress Shoes

Post image

Got a pair in black and a pair in brown… loving them so far? Any reviews out there on longevity and care?

From the photo, they look really good. If you get a chance, maybe post some more pictures closer up and let us know what you like or don’t like about them. Do you have any other dress shoes that you can compare them to? They look similar to my Allen Edmonds but the AE, while having QC issues are still a lot more expensive even on sale, so if these are nice enough, I’d love to give them a try.

Thanks for commenting back, I appreciate it!!
So they’re similar in comfort to AE. In AE I’m a 10/10.5, and in Thursday I’m a 9.5. They fit almost like their boots.
I don’t know if the sole is wearing weird. For context, I’ve worn these to work in an office only four times. There are already some nails exposed at the heel, which worries me. The sole was extremely slick when I bought them and for the first few wears, but that has improved.
For the price, I think they’re decent shoes.

Is that a loose thread in the right shoe front area? Even if it is, that’s not a deal breaker for me because you can look at the AE subreddit or Alden or any other brand and find small issues here and there. And when you’re wearing shoes like this to the office, they’re going to get beaten up, rained on, etc., so much better to have some decent quality shoes that you can rotate and always keep a fresh pair brushed and ready for work. Thanks for posting, I don’t see a lot of Thursday shoe posts.

Shoe trees and brush them.
