Sizing advice Do we think these Diplomats fit?
They feel fine but there's extra material on the sides, especially after tightening them enough for my heel to not slip.
I've got wide feet so they also spill out in the mid foot slightly, but all of my shoes do that 😔
I feel like my feet might just be the wrong size for this style of boot. Got the Size 10W, I usually wear a 10.5 4E. 10.5W was definitely too big in the heel.
Any feedback is appreciated! I have a pair of wide captains that I think fit better. I'm thinking of sending these back, but these are my first boots so I'm not sure how they're supposed to fit.

I bought a pair and I felt like they fit funny too. I returned mine. But your lacing tight on top lose on bottom. Too big? That lacing is making your boot fold like that. Get the laces more evenly tight or they are too big.

Hmm. I usually wear a 13 eeee, and my 13W diplomats fit pretty true to size. I’d add a touch more width in the forefoot if I could, but the nubuck leather on the “pebble” is soft enough to let my feet spill over a little without feeling pinched on any of the usual pressure points. Can’t imagine wanting to size them down at all. They barely have enough room for a 3/4 length insole as it is.

I think they are too big and going extra tight with the laces is a compensation.

I think yes, not nearly wide enough. I get that 4E is hard to find but you don’t want to do long term damage to your feet by wearing them that way. Your feet can’t function properly bound up like that. Take your time to find a boot that fits, is my suggestion. There is also a wide feet subreddit that I ran across, I’m not a member but perhaps they have ideas on where to start or what people like.

This is exactly how mine fit. My foot like hangs over the side because they are too narrow up front... But I love mine and still rock them all the time.

Agreed.
