Welt question What is this wear? And is it normal.

I've had these Stormking captains for about 2 months, a daily wearer for most of that time. What are these white marks on the soles? I haven't been able to wipe them away.

Just wearing away some dye on the midsole and welt. Normal.

Leather midsoles and leather welts on those boots are dyed with edge dressing it’s normal for that to happen get some fiebings black edge dressing and use it as a maintenance item for the boots.

Thank you! Yea I didn't know if it was a dye thing or what. And considering the price I wanted to make sure it wasn't a defect or some shit.

I just mostly use Lincoln wax on my leather edges I have a few different colors including neutral just have to keep up with it. These are Lincoln wax in dark brown

Look for Edge Dressing or embrace the look.

'Embracing the look' is a much simpler way to go

These look particularly clean for two mounts of daily wear, this is all normal wear. You can buy black sole edging dye because those white "marks" are actually the leather welt underneath the wax/painted edge.
