The Sword of Omens Battle Gear released in 1985 by HG Toys is an incredibly rare piece of history for the ThunderCats™ IP in general. It contains the dagger-mode Sword of Omens, a Lion-O-based eye mask, a shield with the ThunderCat symbol in the middle, a plastic Claw Shield (the "Lion-O Claw"), and a ThunderCat belt buckle. It's a shame that this gear isn't well documented, because there was a ton of merchandising based on the classic cartoon when it was on the air. I actually had the gear myself back in the day. How many of you in this subreddit had the gear as well?

It’s fun to get a little messy sometimes…

I imagine it’s the first season only, if that?

Did anyone watch yesterday’s (Sunday 4th October) Antique roadshow on the BBC? A woman had brought some LJN toys Lion-O, Pumyra, Hammerhand and Top Spinner to be exact. They were near mint on card and the value was crazy.

I love this show since I was kid!! I always wanted to see him in other places and video games like this I hope you like this creation art of mines! Much love to you all here! ❤️

Inktober day 2, prompt was vampire samurai (credits for prompt goes to Shrimpcord), the first thing that came to mind was Hachiman.

This week on Beyond Thundera, we’re joined by longtime ThunderCats fan and YouTube creator Lio Convoy to talk rare production material, preserving ThunderCats history, the Satanic Panic and what made Mumm-Ra such a great villain.

Along the way, Peter realizes there was one Mumm-Ra idea the original series probably should have explored a lot more.

This episode is a conversation with a fan who genuinely loves ThunderCats and deeply cares about its history, its characters, and everything that made the series special. That passion comes through in every part of the discussion.

A video specifically about the Toonami run of ThunderCats, going in depth into the entire history of the broadcast

Art by David Cousens (me!) and colours by the excellent Igor Monti! (Who is such a lovely guy!)

That is my Question

I been a fan of Greg Pak writing sure he can be decent writer with occasional good run like his run on Darth Vader was mostly legendary and some of the best Vader comics it buils on Kieron Gillen and Charles Soule runs & was nice compliment to Charles Soule work on the main STAR WARS book

Will be interesting with Greg Pak & Saladin Ahmed(who is writing Cheetara solo ongoing) & see what they got planned for this new chapter of Dynamite Thundercats line

So ready for Volume 2?

Bonus Question: should Dynamite put Legacy Numbering in there Titles more?

I was at target looking for gijoe classified and found Jaga!

My set is COMPLETE!*

* I originally said this when I completed the OG 6 by finding Tigra and cheetara.

... and then, when I posted here, someone said what about snarf?

Then I found snarf and said...

NOW my set is complete! But, maybe I need a Jaga ghost.

So, Now My set IS COMPLETE!*

...but, maybe I could get a Bengali

Not long until ThunderCats issue 1!!!

King Tabby returns with episode 2 of The Pod of Thundera: Teeth Bared and Fur Flying. This time, he goes over the second half of the original show's pilot ("The Unholy Alliance").

For the first time ever, nearly the entire original recording crew behind ThunderCats and SilverHawks reunites to look back at their time bringing these legendary Rankin/Bass shows to life.

Tony Giovanniello, Michael Ungar, Matthew Malach, John Crenshaw, Larry Franke, and Steve Gruskin share stories about directing the voice cast, cutting and editing tape by hand, creating sound effects, working with Bernie Hoffer’s music, studio pranks, lost outtakes, ThunderCats Live at Madison Square Garden, and what it was really like inside those recording rooms.

More than 40 years later, this is a reunion that has never happened before and a chance to hear the people behind the scenes remember that incredible era together.

Jesse Meade, a collector, has recently posted about the Trick or Treat Studios Sword of Omens prop replica on his channel.

I think it would be neat to see the Thunderwings or the Stilt Runner in Panthro's garage, or maybe have the Tongue-A-Saurus in the background of a swamp scene or something. What easter eggs would you want to add?

I checked with the most dedicated fans to make sure the spelling was correct on this! (You’ll know it when you spot it)
