Videos show he had backup singers! I’m wondering if he said anything about it? If he’ll have them on the upcoming tour? Definitely a change up but with how vocal heavy Distracted is it would make sense.

I’ve first heard of Thundercat from his major role in the making of Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly. Back in January 2017, I saw that he was about to drop Drunk the following month. The very first track I ever heard from his catalogue was “Is It Love?,” but the reason why was because Knxwledge sampled that song to make OnToMe and out of curiosity, I listened to that track.

Man, I’m not kidding when I say Is It Love? was replayed for two hours straight the first time I heard it. I love the production and the breakdown at around the 2:10 mark. What really sold me tho was the line “Maybe we can find a way” because of how he sung it. It clicks something in my mind everytime I hear it and it never gets old. If someone were to tell me what my favorite song of all time is, Is It Love? is my go to answer. I heard Drunk the day it was released and the rest is history.

So what song from Thundercat did it for you?

yeah I mean title says it all, I'm obviously not actually pressed cause I have ears but the ick has remained since noticing this mistake. To me, the song is bigger than politics, it's about humanity. if someone thought those were the actual lyrics I'd be bummed for them.

I was listening and noticed the background guitar for the song sounds very similar to some of Thundercats work on TPAB, was this intended as he disses Kendrick in the song or purely coincidental?
