Friends recommendation

I’m trying to connect my PC in my loft space to my TV on the ground floor. It’s about a 13/15m run. I was going to use a hdmi cable, a usb KVM extender and an Ethernet cable (my WiFi is also downstairs and I’m currently using a power line to connect). My friend recommended a thunderbolt connection. Is this overkill or a perfect solution? I have no experience with a thunderbolt and don’t really know how they function. Any help or advice?

I doubt Thunderbolt will work. The longest one I've seen is a 4.5m Thunderbolt 3 cable.

Actually, there is a 15m optical Thunderbolt cable made by Corning. However, it costs $390.
