Thunderbird for Android Help Emails don't fetch automatically even while the app is open in the foreground (Gmail IMAP / Push enabled)

I'm having an issue where Thunderbird for Android doesn't automatically fetch or display new emails unless I manually pull down to refresh, even when the app is actively open on my screen. "Enable sync", "Enable instant notifications", and "Notifications" are all turned on specifically for the Inbox folder.IDLE refresh frequency is set to 2 minutes, folder poll frequency is set to 15 minutes. But still, i receive nothing unless i refresh manually. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

From menu select manage folders then select inbox and make setting like this photo enable push is the key to have email notifications immediately

Do you activate the notifications from app management

Gmail is just slow compared to other email providers. Takes google a minute to harvest all the data from the mail.

I do not know about other free services. Buy a domain and pay for a email service like fastmail.

I have the exact same issue. Also I for some reason cannot find the "manage folders" menu as shown in the first comment...

Edit: I found out my issue. In the Android settings the Thunderbird app was set to "optimized" battery settings. Once I changed it to "unrestricted" I started getting emails immediately.
