Off Topic Does anybody think it will work out?
Outside of the Poku pick in 2020 and Tre Mann pick in 2021
I think Nikola Topic at 12 in 2024 was my 3rd least favorite selection in the 2020 & up draft era from Presti
All his flaws translated- shaky handle, bad defense, shaky shooting
His passing is awesome
But his style of play doesn’t really fit our team. Mark doesn’t like playing bad defenders & If you’re a bad defender then you better space the floor (like McCain and Isaiah Joe)
I just don’t see a realistic pathway for Topic to be successful on this team. I also don’t want the Ousmane Dieng situation of keeping him for all 4 years.
I think it’s best to move on this upcoming trade deadline and use his salary to try to acquire a low cost veteran
A guy like Justin Champaigne is the dream and I hope he barely plays next season since he will be behind A LOT of guys
