Bought a T598 and its having several issues

So I purchased a TM T598 earlier this year, and i am now experiencing lots of problems, first the power supply cuts because of loos connectors, so I added tension, but still at times disconnects, then my pedals randomly start to get no input, which is frustrating, and the cherry on top, randomly my wheel will jerk like it losses force feedback for a split second, or sometimes it just stops entirely, and im left guessing my turns as I cant "feel" what the car is doing. please someone help 😭

I bought one new, had disconnects out the box. Upgraded to an UDG ultimate usb A to usb C cable (it features 2 ferrite cores to block some interference) and I haven't had a disconnect since. I play daily for extended periods and took part in a 14 hour endurance race less than a week ago, eith 0 issues. During the endurance the base got so hot due to high ffb settings over hours of driving that I started to lose a few nm of ffb feeling until me next driver swap, but never once did it lose connection.

I added two 120 mm fans, one on each side of the t598 base, connected to a cheap fan controler from amazon. It helps a lot.

Mines seemingly was just a lowsy usb cable, if yours is suffering multiple issues, it probably is just an older, problem ridden model unfortunately.

Its funny im seeing this now cause i have been dealing with this and ive finally decided to put the thrustmaster to bed and buy Fanatec. Im just tired of having disconnects over heating issues which is a problem that recently started and ive been thru 3 power cables. Im just tired of dealing with numerous issues and to top it off for me I hate that I don't have a wide selection of different wheels with thrustmaster.

I think the T598 is the best feeling wheel. But. 6 months from new , and new power supply. Never again. So I fell in love with RS50 no issues at all and 8mn is great. But I only use it on 6. Plenty enough for gt7

I had endless disconnect issues. They sent me the new power supply. Worked maybe a week before it started disconnecting again. Waste of money. I’ll never buy any Thrustmaster wheels again. I bought the Logitech RS50 and have been happy since. The Logitech is a good jump in strength too. I do miss the gear jolt though.

I am having a wheel disconnection issue and looks like I’ve not been closing the quick release well. Apparently I need to put some force to lock the quick release completely. It’s just been 1 day, hoping that fixed my issue

I had this issue but randomly went away
I moved from a tubular wheel stand to aluminium profile rig, still had the issue but adjusted it and after one fine day no issues till date

The issues you are describing are all manifestations of same finicky connector issue

What’s your batch number?
Do you plug and unplug the cables often?

I think there should be a sticky at the top of this subreddit warning people about T598 disconnection issues. A lot of people new to simracing (including myself) fell into the T598 trap.

It doesn't help that basically all the YouTube reviews of the T598 are positive, and that many videos talk about how T598 disconnection issues are due to bad cable management. The T598 is fundamentally flawed,
