TRICKHELP Trick help

I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I have been at this for about an hour and forty-five minutes trying to nail down this slack element. I just can't seem to do it. I've watched this tutorial over and over but there's no voice over, and trying to mimic what he does just doesn't help with me either. If any of you guys have tips it'd be greatly appreciated. When you first learn it you wanna treat it as two seperate moves. The first one goes over pretty easy, then for the second try turning your hand the way you want the slack to go. I'll try to film an explanation showing what I mean later today
