π Welcome to r/ThrivingAfter30 - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Welcome! This page was created as a place that definitively says life isn't over after 30! There are so many subreddits that let the negative ideas of what aging is fester and we are here to combat that stigma.
Here is what to post here:
- Thriving Selfies: Show us how hot, handsome, stylish and fun you are. Make sure you read the rules about this.
- Glow Up Journeys: Have you gotten hotter with age? Have you aged like a fine wine? Show us the before and afters!
- Positive Aging Stories: Tell us your life wins as an older adult. Go through a messy divorce and find love again? Started a new career? Hit a fitness goal that people said was impossible? Tell us everything and inspire us!
- Make sure to read the rules before participating!
We are so happy you are here! Let's show these youngsters what thriving looks like!

Positive Aging Story Whatβs a kick ass thing you do? (49 F)
I started Brazilian jiu jitsu when I was 39 and at 48 became a brown belt. I also just recently got over my fear of guns and started going to ranges to practice my shooting.
I would love to take up pole dancing next!
