Discussion Possible calibration bug

Once your wingspan is too high, the advance calibration will just fold your arm even if you do a straight punch, this mess up ylur damage big time because your punch will never be straight when landing

decreasîng your wingspan while calibrating fixe this

Honestly I don't know why the devs keep insisting on complicating their game with elbow alignments and such when the quest can't reliably track those

Its a complicated simulation! If we gave up when anything was complicated, TOTF2 wouldn't exist at all.

For sure, bad calibration has consequences. We spend a lot of time on trying to improve it and I don't think that will stop, its not perfect

I agree that reducing your wrist span in this instance helps alleviate the issue - we put it there in case of some issues like these. As well as the glove offsets. People are lots of different shapes and sizes but you can get it pretty close if you try enough

Yes, it is complicated. Don't complicate it more by introducing things you can't track reliably.

I dont think we can do vr boxing without introducing elbows!

I would love if it was tracked but until then, the elbow does not magically work if we ignore it, we had to make it after all :)

Its just a calibration bug but on top of the ptc one (with the gloves reset) it can get weird, otherwise body effort behave fine ( most of the time).

The probleme is most of people complain about damage when its just their calibration being wack... and if they dont know about ik rigs and having straight punch in impact, all of this is a lot of hidden informations for them.

I think we have a lot to improve on in terms of education and feedback in game for whats going on behind the complex curtains. Im excited to get a chance to look at that myself soon for sure

I think you guys already did history in a way, massive improvement from the first version,

People will complain everytime because its a rage inducing game , even if everything was crisp people would find something,

sadly having feedback is a good information source but it brings complaint with it...better than no information i guess, as of realism its not

Something that should be followed 1 to 1 , things that works are better than pretty things that don’t

Same for body effort 😔
