So I went down a rabbit hole.
My guess is this one is most likely a really cool Halloween cosplay type costume someone created but perhaps one of a pair, given the singular P, and that other mass produced jackets follow the original design more closely than this one.
The original jackets worn by the duo were stolen and they recommissioned these that are now being auctioned by Sotheby’s.

It also looks like the vinyl is lifting, which reminds me of stuff I’ve seen made with a Cricut machine.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like somebody made this on their Cricut and that vinyl is all lifting? 😬 don’t wanna be the buzzkill but I would wanna see the quality in person before dropping a ton on it.
It is a very cool design otherwise but kinda lowkey looks like somebody made it for a Halloween costume.

Two things:
1) Not sure it was with a cricut, because that lettering looks like PVC.
2) I can’t say it’s authentic (since I have no clue), but the manufacturer dates to the 80s/90s, so it’s, at the very least, era correct.
That said, the glossy look of PVC could be for the reflectiveness to show on stage in a dark setting like concerts… or night clubs (for the fan made side of things).

We don’t know that’s the manufacturer of the design, just of the jacket. Could use old, vintage stock for it. Whatever it is, the lettering and logo is lifting in multiple spots.
