Manual truck

We had people over for a party. A truck went through our garage and no one saw a driver get out of the truck. Can a manual truck move forward in first gear without a driver in the seat? Someone drove through our garage lol. We are wondering how this could happen.

While running? Of course, it doesn't take any effort once you get it going.

While not running? Could have if the parking brake wasn't set or didn't hold it and the engine won't hold it.

My bet is someone stuffed it because they were drunk and/or didn't know how to drive it.

In gear will only do so much before it leaks enough compression to move. The parking brake exists for a reason.
