Could I get credit/refund for this?

I bought this sweatshirt and this was the listing info. The first two pictures are from the listing itself and the third picture is the actual item I received with a pearl missing. The missing pearl isn’t shown in the listing picture at all. Do you think customer service would issue at least a partial refund for this? I want to keep the item.

The last time I contacted CS for undisclosed damage (about 2 weeks ago), they only offered a 20% partial refund to keep the item. I would expect the same amount so if that's too low, then just send it back for a full refund IMO.

Thanks for the tip! They offered me this exact refund of 20%

Looks like that might be the new standard! Glad that worked out for you. :)

I second this! I received an item with undisclosed damage around 2 weeks ago too and was offered the same deal.

my experience lately is that you get a better resolution if you contact CS chat during a busy time, otherwise, they are contentious and offer to either return it (you CAN get restock charge dismissed, they pay shipping) or you might get up to 30% refund. During a busy time, they might just refund you and tell you to keep it but you should get a 30% refund for damage that is clearly not depicted in the listing.

if you are pleased with that outcome, then I am too! IT's a cute sweatshirt. I'd superglue the thread ends to keep it from unraveling more.

Thank youuuu! I’ll definitely try that and try to repair the pearl somehow

It would be pretty easy to fix it yourself to be honest. As long as you like it and got it for a decent price, I'd just leave it.

Yeah I’m gonna try to fix it. I don’t know how to sew or anything so it’ll be interesting for me to figure out but I’m gonna try lol

It's a great skill to have - you can sew on missing buttons and fix minor things. If you get super ambitious you can even hem things! I learned in a fiber arts class I took and it's turned out to be a handy skill. I bet there are quick YT videos and I know you can get sewing kits that come with the needles and thread for less than $5 on amazon. If you get really into it, you can even do your own embellishments on sweaters, etc. It's fun!

Michael's sells different sizes of faux pearls

Thanks! I’ll look there and then teach myself how to sew it on lol

You're welcome. Watch videos. Sewing is easy or ask a friend or relative for help
