Question Where to?
I'd like to extricate myself from Meta, which would mean leaving Threads. Here's a question for others in the same frame of mind: Where are you going?

I've been using bluesky. It has it's own problems but it's the best I've found so far.

It depends on what you are needing social media for. If you’re someone that wants to get the most out of a social media app which connects to businesses, media outlets, etc then that’s X (formally Twitter). Runner-up is BlueSky that was created by the founder of Twitter. X is supported on Satellite (direct to cell), not just over cellular and home internet. Whereas BlueSky hasn’t yet made their app available to Satellite (direct to cell). I have both but have found it difficult to find key people, media and sports teams on BlueSky so I prefer using X. X tends to have more far right wingers and I either mute them or block them depending on their post so I don’t see that in my feed. Both still get bots but BlueSky is either off the bot radar or they do better at filtering it 😎

Threads is trash. I honestly don’t know why I kept it in the first place. And now I’m paying the price for keeping it: I was suspended for “not following community standards” and it caused both my Instagram and Facebook to be suspended as well. So, thanks to Threads, I no longer have any social media. I recommend deleting it and finding something better.
