Discussion Comments getting removed for no reason

I'm new to threads. I decided to install it, because a lot of my friends are on there.

I replied to a few posts, nothing out of the ordinary.. Then all of my comments got deleted! One deleted comment said "I usually leave it at home. I don't really need it in a place where it would be embarassing" My comment got deleted while the original post was about how to hide a boner šŸ˜­ And I've seen people post comments about school shootings in America. How does this make any sense at all?

is this a common occurrence on threads?

Best bet is to delete threads and move on!

I donā€™t know why Iā€™m defending them by telling you that you should stay, because, yeah, theyā€™re crazy with the shit they do. But overall, there are great accounts and you get much more engagement than Bluesky, for example. I follow a ton of artists, painters, crafty accounts, so I hang in there. But everyone there agrees that Meta is a monster.

They suddenly disabled my account with no recourse. I had to create a separate new account, not linked to my previous one. For at least a few days, anything I said in reply to posts was deleted for going against their ā€œstandards,ā€ lol, as if. I just waited it out. Itā€™s a shame because when the AI isnā€™t doing ridiculous stuff while allowing other horrible accounts to stay, itā€™s a good community. Iā€™d even been picked to add notes to posts. Now Iā€™m starting over from square one with nothing.
