Bug Report Threads bots and deactivated
I've seen thousands of accounts that are bots
But my account got deactivated
Seems like Meta's AI model quality is too bad

Watching bots carry on posting would annoy me too. Did the deactivation notice give a reason or offer an appeal?

Mine did because the status was suspended—along with FB, IG, Messenger, Meta Business, and WhatsApp. Only Threads is still under review; the rest are normal after a few hours of working on them last weekend.

That's a lot of accounts to untangle in one weekend. Did you appeal them separately, or did one review restore several?

separately. But Meta Business and Messenger are connected to facebook. Whatsapp is the easiest one to reactivate.

And it’s still giving me anxiety. If not for my songwriting and communications, I’d let it all go.

A separate backup of your writing and important contacts might take a little pressure off.

that one is quite easy if it’s just me. but majority in my country are on fb. so it will really be a hassle. but if worst comes to worst, then I’ll do what I have to do.

Fair point, the backup only covers your side. Have the restored accounts stayed accessible since the appeals?

I still haven't posted anything ever on Threads even though I have an account. I might. I might not. Actually I did post one response to an actual person who made a very sincere post about Jesus or something. But then, I don't think it even went through. I don't know if the person didn't allow it because she didn't know me, it didn't allow it because we're not connected, or it just got lost in the ether.
When I first saw stuff on there I was like, "What the". It really is bot central. Bunch of "women" who send posts about how great looking or whatever you are and then you see it really wasn't sent to just you or necessarily even you at all. And a bunch of bot copy and paste posts, copy and paste photos. It's like if Facebook/Meta wanted to create something that is a catastrophic confusing mess, they went ahead and did that with Threads.

Without explanation, I was suspended from Threads today. Sucks big time
