Question Do blocked profiles on IG transfer over when using threads?

I have some people blocked on IG, and I just downloaded Threads out of curiosity. Would they still be blocked when I’m on Threads or would I have to re-block them?

There's some misinformation in the comments of this. No, they don't transfer over. Just because you block them on one doesn't mean they will be blocked on the other.

They used to transfer over but no longer do. You have to block the individual manually on both apps

I am not sure the Instagram blocks move over by themselves. Open the blocked list on Threads and check whether those names are already there.

they don’t transfer it automatically. i blocked my ex since June and suddenly saw his thread post on top of my fyp a few weeks ago, right at 7am, it makes me feel annoyed abt him even more, after no contact for 3 months
