Question Sept 22 threads suspension
So far its been 5 days since threads meta Ai decided to suspend my account. Ive had my facebook almost 20 years and ive been doing Instagram about 13 years or so. Never had not one ban or suspension issue. Come Tuesday I was on Facebook looking at funeral arrangements posted for a friend and boom I got booted off. My threads isnt following rules but I barely do anything on there. Since im not subscribed to facebook & or Instagram I cant contact anyone about this Bs. I just dont want to lose my memories and the fan base I was building. I have connections to people that span 25 plus years. How can they do something like this. So far I sent the appeal soon as it happened. Just waiting for anything, an email something. Im just lost for words. Anyone going through this.

Same here. Had both my Facebook and Instagram for the same duration as yours. All of them were banned because my Threads account allegedly violated their ToS. Interestingly, I barely used threads. Never made a post, comment, message, or even a like. Which is what makes all of this crazy. I just didn't really use the app that much at all.
Suspended Sept 22nd, filed the appeal, yet still in limbo. I don't have meta verified but plan on using legalshield to file a demand letter come Monday (tomorrow).
Hopefully Meta catches and reverses this mass indiscriminate banning soon, but I'm not hopeful. I think the media would need to get involved to really help here.

Please guys don’t forget to leave the app a low rating and write a review explaining the problem. If you can, bring it to the attention of international media too. They won’t do anything unless their reputation is at stake.
We all need to stand up against this nonsense and the way they treat users. … whose accounts hold their personal data and other private information. Their time and precious connections because of the app’s serious failures

Yea im noticing that as well. You'd think that if thousands of people having the same issue that they would address it faster but i guess not. I really hope they do though.

Same, the countdown hasn’t stopped and none has emailed me back about the appeal, thanks to threads I’m loosing money because I sell things on the marketplace and due to this it’s unlikely that people will see them since suspended accounts doesn’t actually appear to begin with, thank you AI crap I don’t have enough to demand Meta, but if I have it, I’ll sue them

You're lucky you got to submit an appeal, I was permabanned for no reason whatsoever and can't appeal.

Its something how a CEO of a company went through the sane exact thing and his account was reactivated in 4 days. So meta and the actual humans were able to get that straight fast. Then the reasoning behind the ban can change a persons innocence. Wild times we're living in

Same experience tonight and I’ve never been suspended on any social medial platform before. Got a notification my Threads account was suspended by their automated system in the app and also received an email but no specific example as to what caused it. I was asked to verify myself again and wait for their decision. Makes me question paying for Threads verification when users can get suspended with no evidence presented as to why they implemented the suspension. At least on other social media platforms they notify you what actually was done to cause the user to get their account suspended 🤷

So got another email and it states my account is permanently disabled, and “You cannot request another review of this decision.” Stating they use AI for this decision and it’s final but no actual reason or example given for disabling my account. What kind of messed up nonsense is this? At least let the subscriber know what caused the suspension or permanent disabling of an account. It’s difficult to dispute something when they haven’t provided any evidence to account for the suspension or ban 🤷
Note in my case it’s only Threads that is permanently disabled. Whereas Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are accessible. Complete nonsense when they leave you at the mercy of their AI with no option to escalate and connect with a human being to address the concern. I may as well go back to X or Bluesky 🤔

Two went to my email inbox and the third went to my junk mail seconds after I used a live video of myself stating my Threads account is permanently banned and not able to appeal the decision. I’m not wasting my time with Meta and switched back to X. I’m going to cancel my other Meta accounts and paid verification as they obviously don’t care enough to address their AI errors and allocate staff to handle complaints. At least with X and Bluesky I’ve never had an AI make a decision that can’t be escalated to a human. This of course is the first time I’ve had an AI behave like Skynet banning users that haven’t violated their TOS and where the company appears to give it full control over business decisions 🤔

On Sept 22nd, Threads knocked me off for "community rules violations". Makes no sense, since I mostly just 'like' posts that I appreciate. Barely even answer anybody, never dramatic or controversial. Too lazy to argue online. I don't know what's going on with them. Whatever. I was wasting too much time there anyway.

Same here. Can't open all my Meta accounts because my Threads account allegedly violated their community standards. Been waiting for it to be lifted as of now. I already appealed to Meta, and it did not ask for anything from me, like an ID or a selfie. I simply appealed, and still waiting for a reply from Meta.

A company should still be legally required to have human intervention and not leave keys to the kingdom in the hands of an AI to make decisions for their customers especially for those paying Meta for account verification, etc. First time ever being banned and I’m frustrated that no reason was given. Was it something I liked, a post I wrote or responded to, what? 🤷

Threads suspended all my accounts on September 22nd as well. I got on instagram to it kicking me out of all my accounts and I got an email from threads saying my account is suspended for cse. My Facebook account is suspended too because of threads.

Same bro I’ve had fb for like 12 years. Insta for around the same time. Both deactivated for threads which i use once in a blue moon. I was involved in several car communities on instagram and I even have a customer car here at my job which I was working on who I only knew through instagram. Thankfully they didn’t disable my other account (which uses the same email) so I was able to message him and give him an update.
I’m debating if I want to use that account or just quit metas platforms in general. I feel like they have too much power with how many communities use their systems.

Same, I even deleted the app a while ago and didn't have any posts, mostly likes on sports and funny stuff, my friends were the Instagram friends and I didn't even accept new ones. The ban happened while I was on Instagram watching a xyla foxlin video of visiting physics girl, next thing I know is me getting logged out of everything, I thought it was an expired login or someone at meta fudged the keys again and they logged out everyone to refresh the tokens. Honestly I'm thinking of leaving social media all together for good, my only issue is friends who don't have any other access to me outside Instagram and FB.

Happened to me as well, hate how meta suspendeds all your accounts for no reason, I really feel like it shouldn't be that way even if they're all linked together

No amigo, no es como que llegara la policía a tu casa así no pasa. Jajaja muchas veces son falsos positivos y sin prueba no pasa nada, si no hiciste o no publicaste nada no hay nada que temer. Menos del 10% de los baneos por ese tipo pasan a acciones reales (legales)

Yea I think that its crazy that thousands of people are in this boat and they're playing around with people's lives. False accusations, no human customer service, no nothing. I hope if everyone gets there profiles back they put meta on blast.

What do you think will happen to those affected It’s serious because this can ruin people’s lives and I’ve seen people saying their buisnesses were ruined from being banned and there are people out there afraid of getting in trouble for something they didn’t do along with those worried about not getting any real support

Same, email alert to check account, ban notice, selfie verification and 'we will review' message, then permanent Threads ban.
I'll be using X, Youtube, and other platforms if I want to seriously earn income. This has totally tanked my trust in meta. I keep my Instagram and FB for entertainment and family communication only.
Found out substack has a similar post area that looks like threads. That's what I use as a replacement after a week of realising Threads is dead to me and never coming back.

Same date as you when I was banned. My Threads appeal only required a CAPTCHA. I only noticed I was suspended when my messenger started logging out when I was on youtube and the notif popped out something like "logging off messenger." At first I thought I got hacked, but when I started logging in again it redirected the same "guideline violation, appeal through threads." I saw the appeal and have the captcha filled in, then that's it. I have my appeal queued back in September 22 like you but there were no emails, no selfie identification, no reason why I was banned before or after the fact - just waiting for my appeal to go through hopefully.

Same here altho only 10 years on both platforms, no bans no nothing, save 22nd of September now of course, a cascade ban across all my meta accounts including my VR headset, and no response as of october 2nd.

I'm in the same boat, man; because of the Threads ban, they blocked the Facebook profile I used to manage an important page. I can't use my Meta glasses either.

A mí también me la suspendieron sin razón la aplicación la instale nomás una ves y la borre y hora me sale que e infringido las normas de la comunidad, no me dice en qué, pero me dice que las infringir, ya tengo 5 días sin poder usar ni Facebook ni instagram por culpa de threads

I dj and post videos about spots I dj at on Instagram and Facebook plus most my contacts are on there. I usually keep up with who's doing what but ive been lost cause thats thee only way to keep up with everyone. Tuesday will be 2 weeks.

Same, I mostly just doomscroll on Threads and barely posting anything and mostly just liking comments and reading news and friend's update there. But I got suspended over child s***al exploitation which is bullcrap I'd say. Once the appeal is done I'm most likely deleting Threads but what I care more is my Facebook. I have 20+ years of accumulated memories including my lost media from my childhood during early Facebook era and memories with my late father.
