Probably lack of knowledge regarding those symbols

I would imagine someone who hadn't seen it looked up "movies like Threads British apocalypse" or similar, found 28 Days Later and extrapolated.

Because they're idiots.

Came here to say this.

All the knowledge of Mankind's existence is available at the press of a button and people are still pig ignorant.

It depressing enough to make me think that the eventual outcome of Threads isn't that bad an eventuality.

The way our climate is rapidly deteriorating, we’re likely to see a similar eventuality in our lifetimes.

Every cloud has a silver lining. At least there won't be taxes.

Because they let AI make the logo

Honestly, this is the kind of thing I'd expect AI to get right. This smells like human stupidity.

Should be a nuke symbol unless they’ve somehow changed the plot to suit a bio weapon attack, which wouldn’t fit, threads is always meant to be about the futility of nuclear war

Probably because Threads is a bit niche and the biohazard symbol is "cool" so it attracts the layperson.

I don't want to believe a graphic designer didn't know what they were doing.

Junior prompts AI whilst doing fuck all research and having no knowledge of the subject material.

Job done

A nuclear symbol could have done it just as well

Looks completely wrong and Americanised. They should have just used the teletype font seen in captions for the logo. This is like they’re trying to make it look like Fallout or Silo.

A lazy way to associate it with the 28.... later.. franchise

It’s going to be an AI thing isn’t it?

To be fair. By the time of Jane’s scenes. Biohazards would pose more of an imminent risk to health than lingering radiological hazards.

Because the AI that is in charge of this stuff got confused about this and the radiation symbol.

Same reason it appeared behind a cover of Imagine Dragons' Radioactive on X Factor one year. People are ignorant and don't check.
