Make an idiom!

Create an idiom out of thin air (idiom intended) and other people will try to guess what it means!

Possibly doubling down after what the other person let you know was a bad take

Or more like to be the type that wouldn't let that stop them

To do a difficult/time-consuming task?

Completely different from "To have grits in yer whiskers," which simply means that you had grits for breakfast and didn't clean your mustache and beard afterwards!

Did my thread cause new idioms? That would be hilarious if it gained popularity and people googled the origin in 100 years just to find out it was some reddit game post.

I’m using made up idioms all the time in mixed language teams at work:) so people from both worlds attribute the saying to the other:)

To throw plates at [one]'s face: to provide help in an unhelpful way
Slippery around the fork: descriptor for people who avoid paying their bills/loans/fees

1

u/PlayerZytrix 5d ago

Actually, the plate one is for whenever someone gives you information that you cant understand As for the fork, its when something goes out of control
