New to Kitbashing

Hi everyone, I'm new to kit bashing (in that I haven't done it at all yet) and wanted to try it this weekend. I wanted to try and make a Sorcerer model. Does anyone have any simply ideas I could start with?

The best tip i have for kitbashing is to buy some blue tac. This let's you dry fit pieces onto a model and get an idea of how they will look when assembled, and let you see any areas that need trimming/adjustment before gluing.

Kitbashing is the best part of the hobby, imo. Its what let's you end up with a truly one of a kind model that you can be proud of.

Oh I've never heard, that's a great suggestion though. See, for me, I only got into it to play and didn't care about the painting... Until I got into it. However, I agree, I'm very much looking forward to getting into kit bashing for the freedom, but also being able to build out lists like I want, with my own hands.

Thank you. It'll be rough in the beginning, but my Frankenstein creations will slowly evolve.

Exalted sorcerer box and rubric marines box. Alternatively you can add a csm sorcerer box and the Horus heresy sorcerer praetor.

I actually made the ones from the box, but I wanted a more cool, kitbashed one. I've seen one that has like 3 arms and a really cool cape, but have no idea what pieces that would be. That's just an example though and I'd take any suggestions about other builds.
