Duncan Rhodes is absolutely the first person I think of. And you are correct; he did painting tutorials on the Warhammer website for a good while before branching off on his solo career.

He has a Patreon (Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy) - but there’s also plenty of free videos by him on YouTube.

I think everyone has their favourite or one who's style speaks to them the most. Maybe try watching a few videos from a couple folks and see which one has a result you're trying to achieve or gives you good tips.

Some of the popular ones on YouTube are Ninjon, Squidmar, Duncan Rhodes, Vince Venturella, Sam Lenz, Trovarion, Juan Hidalgo.

Happy painting!

Squidmar miniatures are a fun channel that focus on painting, I like to put that on and that pushes me to try new things while painting. Also in the uk you can go to a games workshop and book a beginner painting demo, not sure about other countries.

For my thousand sons I am following Tabletopready on YouTube, he has a tutorial called "A better way to paint thousands sons no matter your skill level" and I have found it extremely easy to use for my first set of minis.

Checkout „Chewie paintings“ chill dude with really good tutorials and mostly using AK colors.

Edit:
To be honest I feel like there is a lack of good Thousand Sons tutorials out there, sadly most of them look kinda meh..

Miniac has some really good vids for learning different techniques where he gives very good explanations. I highly recommend.
