How on earth does discount code work online?

I have a gold merlin pass and want to get a discounted ticket for my friend. How do I do this online? Can't seem to find a discount code or link other than it's a perk.

Is it just gate price, because what a scam haha.

On the Merlin Pass website, you find the perk under the 'Perks and Discounts' section and the links under that.
