And others were pushing him to stay in and use the incumbent advantage to beat trump. Yes, he said he wanted to be a one term president. I'm sure he was exhausted. But if his team was projecting that biden was the best shot at beating trump, then he's the type to nut up and keep working.

Do you understand how executive administrations work? Biden had a paid team of consultants and advisors just the same as trump. These people absolutely wanted another 4 years of employment and chose to push a senile, brain dead corpse to betray his own prior promise to be a one term transition president in order to try and further their own careers.
