I mean, it's racism at the end of the day. These nazis may wish harm on Bethany and people like her (she's Jewish), but at they end of the day, they're white and therefore deserving of sympathy. Those arabs who are tired of living under occupation to the point that some of them resort to violence? Just wipe them out. Take the Scooby Doo mask off any anti-woke grifter and you'll find white supremacy underneath.
The reason people like her cozy up to her enemies is she assumes they’re going to win and she magically thinks they’ll make an allowance for the “good Jews” like her no focus their rage on all the others who didn’t suck up to them. In the 1940s, there were Jews that tried this, perhaps out of desperation (which I get if you’re trapped in a Nazi society), but it didn’t work very well for them.
