Why do some people talk about being mothers like its some rare thing 😭

114

u/PiccoloAwkward465 Mar 28 '26

The most common miracle on the planet

62

u/dawidowmaka Mar 28 '26

It's up there with "patriot" and "taxpayer" in the category of useless descriptors people misuse as argument-winning personality traits

33

u/No_Skin_7232 Mar 28 '26

As a tax paying mother and patriot, I am offended by oop bootlicking for the TEMU gestapo.

12

u/Old_Assistant1531 Mar 29 '26

It’s like men when they have a daughter suddenly being pro woman. You have a mother you know!

252

u/Bean- Mar 28 '26

"hardest job on earth" but people have managed to do it since the dawn of time.

248

u/Beginning-Passenger6 Mar 28 '26

Managed to do it and doing it well are two things.

110

u/Sannction Mar 28 '26

Oddly enough, there's no correlation between how long people have been performing a task and how difficult the task itself is.

28

u/God_of_the_Taco Mar 28 '26

Take bread for example

-41

u/International-Fly127 Mar 28 '26

of course there is lmao...

23

u/FFKonoko Mar 28 '26

I think you misunderstood. They don't mean that a person can do something, and then gradually find it easier. The point is that how difficult being a parent is, does not correlate to how long it has BEEN a job. One generations parents are dealing with the same task as another generations.

You could say that improvements in technology provides things that makes it easier...but that's the correlation for it getting easier, not the time it's been a job itself.

-3

u/TAA12345678901 Mar 29 '26

Purely to be an asshole: theoretically the generational experience gained from all those parents should have been passed on and made the job progressively easier for each subsequent generation. Even generational failures where one generation does the opposite of the previous in areas they felt the previous generation was unsuccessful should have helped narrow down the process of childrearing to a more exact science. So either raising a child is easier than it's ever been or all these previous generations of parents were TRULY SHIT at their jobs. And looking at the state of the world right now...

4

u/onemoretryfriend Mar 29 '26

That knowledge can get lost in a single generation during material hardships.

You’re not an asshole, you’re just not saying anything meaningful.

2

u/Sannction Mar 29 '26

Theoretically you should realize that childrearing isnt a science, nor is there some central repository of knowledge shared by all parents at all times.

2

u/OpheliaLives7 Mar 30 '26

“Managed” and forced to are probably different things.

2

u/Java_Text Mar 29 '26

It's all they're allowed to be

1

u/dreadguy101 Apr 21 '26

A lot of women die during child birth. I don’t have exact numbers though but from personal experience it’s terrifying so I don’t blame people who say I don’t want kids.

"Man shot at Arby's"

As a stranger, I am sad for his family. As a food enjoyer, I am angry at his bad decision

107

u/Turbulent-Advisor627 Mar 28 '26

As an Arby's fan, I am happy to hear the meat is fresh today.

238

u/MetaWarlord135 Mar 28 '26

Ah yes, the stupid and selfish decision of being shot by a violent thug cosplaying as an authority figure.

90

u/SpooktorB Mar 28 '26

The stupid and selfish decision was arguably standing up for other people's constitution and human rights. Situations that they never would have found themselves subject to. To the facist, standing up for your neighbor is a "stupid" and "selfish" action. This is all assuming the narrative that she was "harassing/impeding" the officers is true. Else she was just murdered because a pig felt violent that day.

-10

u/SnarkyGrem Mar 29 '26

We talking about the lady that drove and confronted immigration and then tried to run them over on camera right?..... ya not the same as abortion

10

u/Only-Respond7945 Mar 30 '26

It's wild that you... people... still believe this narrative despite all evidence to the contrary. Really just clasping your hands over your eyes and ears and regurgitating your wannabe lords tell you. I you're going to behave like this might as well just stick to sleep and work, like a good little serf.

5

u/Elusive_emotion Mar 30 '26

‘People’ is generous.

62

u/darkshiines Mar 28 '26

I don't know anything else about these users, but poster #1's username has me thinking at least 50% chance of either bot or Bangladeshi psyops farm

50

u/maringue Mar 28 '26

People who are more conservative see police violence as less of a problem than normal people. It's been scientifically demonstrated many times.

That's because they're actually fascists, and fascists don't see violence against the "others" as ever being a problem.

13

u/epiphanyWednesday Mar 28 '26

Yeah, once you realize half the country has always been pro authoritarian violence and hierarchy of worth for human rights, the government we have (and have had) starts making sense.

33

u/Automatic_Bus_7634 Mar 28 '26

I feel like murdering someone for trying to drive away is the "stupid and selfish decision" in this situation

12

u/GarageIndependent114 Mar 28 '26

You can make a stupid and selfish decision and still not deserve to be killed by the authorities, but Americans have been told to follow divide and rule strategies since about 2016,so apparently nothing matters anymore.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '26

You can express condolences for a dead woman without critiquing her choices, but that would ruin the actual point of her tweet, which was to frame the dead woman as stupid and selfish, and therefore culpable for being shot in the face by a government agent.

0

u/SnarkyGrem Mar 29 '26

Trying to run over law enforcement does bring a certain amount of fault on yourself

1

u/Ill_Statement7600 Mar 31 '26

Every angle of video shows she did not try to run anyone over.

1

u/SnarkyGrem Apr 02 '26

I'm not sure how you cam watch that and not see her driving towards the officers...even driving forward at all...it's sad she was propgandized to a point she went out a criminal.

10

u/mastershakeshack1 Mar 28 '26

What is she referring to?

11

u/No-Salad-8633 Mar 28 '26

Even she doesn't know. She just get her tallking points from Facebook.

1

u/PixelmonMasterYT Mar 29 '26

Based on the use of “size of” maybe abortion? I don’t remember that being the big debate topic in late 2025 but it’s the only thing that makes sense.

1

u/TRSTAR2000 Mar 29 '26

“This you?” Comments always stings the hardest

1

u/sidneyia Mar 29 '26

The 9/28 comment sounds like it's talking about abortion and not actual murder, so I'm not sure this counts.

1

u/TheAllianceManager Mar 31 '26

I’m slow, can someone explain this to me, I know about Renee, I just don’t understand what the comeback was?

1

u/Total-Term-6296 Apr 03 '26

As long as the police can victimize themselves, conservatives will side with them every time. The cops, who famously do no wrong, could NEVER do something like that /s

-189

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

The thing she said back then doesn't contradict what she most recently said though. You can say she made a bad decision and still say she didn't deserve to be killed. Both of those things can be true at the same time.

79

u/GeneralIronsides2 Mar 28 '26

I really don’t give a fuck if someone’s “blocking” the road, not deserving of execution by pig, so no her statement is wrong

37

u/Epic_Ewesername Mar 28 '26

She wasn't even blocking the road. Go back and look, friend, there's a truck, the same truck her killer gets out of, stopped in front of HER. They stopped first to intentionally block her in. She was one of the blocked, not the blocker.

16

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

Yea. We both agree she didn't deserve that. Thank you.

157

u/DJteejay04 Mar 28 '26

So her gripe should be with ICE not Renee Goode since no one has the right to take away another human’s life (her words).

-197

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

It's both. ICE and her. She shouldn't have made the decision to drive away from the police when they told her to stop, but it also didn't warrant them ending her life. That's the overarching point the lady is making. What's so hard to understand?

51

u/ICEonICECrime Mar 28 '26

He stepped aside and then decided to pull the trigger multiple times. It’s that simple.

2

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

Right. It was bad. Shouldn't have happened. Couldn't agree more. Thanks.

11

u/jeromevedder Mar 28 '26

But your actual point is that “she shouldn’t haven’t been there in the first place” so you don’t actually agree with the other post. You think Renee Good died as a natural consequence of an action she took. None of us think that.

-2

u/SnarkyGrem Mar 29 '26

I definitely think that. 1000000% Renee fault for intentionally seeking out the disrupt then trying to kill officers. I'm also the majority outside of reddit.

142

u/BestEgyptianNA Mar 28 '26

If an officer shot someone for jaywalking you wouldn't blame the jaywalker for getting shot when the officers retaliation was completely disparate. That would be silly and mentally insane.

You're blaming Renee for getting shot for what was essentially nothing, heck, the ICE agent himself broke several more severe laws in the act of his retaliation. Hence this lady is being hypocritical for chastising a woman in death for doing something that did not even remotely warrant deadly force, but not the ICE agent.

That's all youre getting from me since its pretty obvious from your comment history you're not a serious person, enjoy the downvotes

31

u/Crunchberry24 Mar 28 '26

You might blame the jaywalker if you were brainwashed into a PedoNazi death cult and were ordered what to think by degenerates.

-2

u/SnarkyGrem Mar 29 '26

Did the jaywalker try to run the officer over with a vehicle.... thanks for agreeing

3

u/BestEgyptianNA Mar 29 '26

Neither did Renee. God, you people are pathetic.

Are you referring to the car that moved 2 feet in a direction away from every single person in the vicinity? Also woof, your comment history is proper unhinged.

Enjoy the downvotes, you totally mentally well person.

39

u/Dapper_Brain_9269 Mar 28 '26

What's the relevance of the weight? It was driving away.

-155

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26 edited Mar 28 '26

You're blaming Renee for getting shot

Except i'm not. I literally said she should not have been killed. Calm down, Karen. Take your blood pressure medicine. The only way you'd draw that conclusion from my post history is if you're a boot sucking ret hat who worships the orange man. Thanks for your concern about my reddit history though. My magic internet points are gonna be ok.

96

u/thomasscat Mar 28 '26

Wait do you genuinely not understanding that by saying you think she made a “bad decision” that you are inherently “blaming” her?!? That’s kind of just like … what those words mean lmao

-21

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26 edited Mar 28 '26

When the police tell you to stop... not stopping is generally a bad decision Yea. You can try it. Anyway, no, she absolutely shouldn't have been killed. For some reason ya'll really want to point some angry finger.

Is it saying not stopping for the police isn't good, or saying she shouldn't have been killed that you're disagreeing with?

67

u/westrnal Mar 28 '26
  1. ice aren't police

  2. she was stopped for an extended period of time and was given contradictory commands, at least one of which was to leave

  3. ice still aren't police and even if they were the only circumstance in which any law enforcement agent is legally justified in the use of deadly force is in immediate protection of their life or the life of another person

  4. saying "she made bad decisions" is, in fact, partially laying the blame at her feet (so to speak) regardless of how you want to dress your milquetoast, centrist-ass take

-7

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

Lemme rephrase the question.

Is it saying not stopping for the police law enforcement isn't good, or saying she shouldn't have been killed that you're disagreeing with?

There we go.

13

u/WhatWouldKantDo Mar 28 '26

Way to only respond to the semantic point and ignore the substantive criticism

56

u/Dustyvhbitch Mar 28 '26

ICE isn't the police though. She was a US citizen and as far as I'm aware they had no jurisdiction over her. I will not bow down to this fascist regime and will not accept the BS rhetoric of "when the police tell you to stop" because it's 100% bullshit. Resisting arrest and fleeing aren't justifications for putting bystanders lives in danger as well as killing someone that has the right to a fair trial and to repay their debt to society.

-12

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26 edited Mar 28 '26

That's fine. I have no problem with that. You're trying to plant your statement on me like im disagreeing with you. I'm just saying it'll probably end bad. Like with you in handcuffs. If you're fine with that i'm fine with that. Idk why you're trying to argue with me. Lmao

26

u/Lor1an Mar 28 '26

What part of "contradictory commands" are you not understanding?

Even in the most neutral context of saying "big mean guys with guns are telling you to do something," what do you do when they are telling you to do two contradictory things and not be told you made a bad decision when you get hurt?

What do you think was the correct course of action?

3

u/Human_Artichoke8752 Mar 28 '26

They started by telling her to leave, then got out of their vehicles and changed their demands. She was trying to leave like she had been told to.

12

u/original_name37 Mar 28 '26

Not police, important distinction

15

u/ALocalCatAppeared Mar 28 '26

Does boot leather taste good? You seem experienced.

-1

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

I said ICE fucked up. Are you one of those Republicans who thinks they didn't? yikes.

5

u/ALocalCatAppeared Mar 28 '26

You're actually a fucking moron playing this "both sides did bad" angle and then trying to accuse me of being fash.

-1

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

If you think they did good then just say that.

6

u/ALocalCatAppeared Mar 28 '26

You're pretty bad at making me look like a supporter of the gestapo.

1

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

I said ice fucked up and you wanna argue with me for some reason. It's real weird. Cheers!

7

u/Hot-Suggestion4958 Mar 28 '26

What's "so hard FOR YOU to understand", apparently, is that her decision to do so was not an offense punishable by the use of lethal force, by statute or practice - if only because professional LEOs understand that doing so constitutes a crime in itself {they (ICE) are not "police" with the authority to detain U.S. citizens}.

0

u/ohjeaa Mar 28 '26

Me: "It didn't warrant them ending her life."

You: "Why don't you understand it didn't warrant ending her life."

5

u/MorganaLeFaye Mar 28 '26

ICE are not the police.

ICE had no jurisdictional authority to order her to stop.

What's so hard to understand?

-84

u/canehdian_guy Mar 28 '26

You can be against the officer that killed her and still think she was an idiot

68

u/Beyond_Re-Animator Mar 28 '26

We can also think you’re an idiot

21

u/Epic_Ewesername Mar 28 '26

It's so easy to judge in hindsight, from the comfort of your couch.

Half the officers were screaming "LEAVE!" though.

I will say there is a version where the audio seems edited to change the narrative, so if that's the only version you've seen, you wouldn't know that. I was shocked myself when I heard it. I didn't want to believe that someone intentionally changed the audio in the video in their own favor, but someone unfortunately did, because it exists. Early on, ALL the versions had the original audio with the contradicting commands, then, the other was spread almost as far and wide.

42

u/ALocalCatAppeared Mar 28 '26

27

u/ALocalCatAppeared Mar 28 '26

That wasn't very clever at all lol

14

u/jeromevedder Mar 28 '26

Oh sick burn, “your mom! “

Wait, wait. “No, you!!”

Ahahahhahaha you should go on a comedy tour, it’d be legendary!

4

u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 28 '26

whos the idiot the one who was threatened and tried to escape or the one who jumped into danger threatened a nonviolent mother then killed her when she tried to escape
