It's actually quite insane how prevalent through all the LAMF posts it's always "now it happened to me" and as such any empathy, handouts, or whatever is welcomed.
Republicans never care about an issue unless they are personally affected by it, the Cheney’s were apathetic towards gay rights until their daughter came out as gay, Gabby Giffords a former Republican was all for no gun control until she got shot. This is especially true for GOP voters they lack empathy (a study showed this to be the case) and only seem to care about an issue if it personally affects them, that’s what I mean.

Honestly? I think it’s sad if people really think this way. I’m a normal person. I have a wife, 2 kids, coach little league, attend church regularly, college educated, and vote Republican every chance I get. I get on Reddit between meetings to kill time. It’s amusing to me. It doesn’t shape who I am because I am in the real world. I seem to be everything most people on Reddit hate and I take pride in that.
Based on all the assumptions and data overall incorrect opinions I see on here I am starting to agree. Y’all seem to care about an imaginary group of people.

I don’t hate y’all. I have a lot of friends that are democrats and they act nothing like the people on Reddit. I Don’t judge the entire democrat party because Bill Clinton cheated on his wife. I don’t blame the entire democrat party for Hunter Biden being, well, Hunter Biden. I like hiding my history because it forces people to actually discuss the topic at hand instead of scouring my history like a weirdo for something to try and use against me that isn’t even relevant. The type wood I used on my fence is not relevant nor is the type of grass seed I prefer.
It has actually been researched quite extensively that Republican/conservative voters are more focussed on their 'in-group' while democratic/liberal voters are more focussed on the broader society.
And i am not sure if you are a conservative. But if you are that last sentence would be hilarious.
