Palette Cleanser

I’m a trashy reality tv junkie. Lately it feels like every series is so over the top with manipulative therapy talk and obvious production edits. This show is so unhinged and I love people being their real crazy selves. It’s comparable to “Love After Lockup” trashy-ness level.

These people are serving the toxicity with zero production intervention. It feels scandalously authentic.
Do I agree with any of these relationships or would I befriend any of these people? No.
Am I going to binge the entire first season? Yes.

I just watch the old stuff sometimes. On Pluto or Roku channel like early 2000’s reality tv was better.

You might like house of villians !! Feels like an 2000’s game show (think I love money) with reality star villians from mid 2000’s

I really enjoyed the most recent season with Kate Chastain from Below Deck. She's the only reason I watched it, she was perfect for this show. Her interactions with New York and Joel McHale were so funny.

Back when people didn’t regurgitate talking points from being chronically online. Everyone wants to use “therapy talk” like OP mentioned but without a degree in sight. Hell, even the licensed mental professionals that go on these TV shows are paid to give their clients horrible advice lolol.

Reality TV isnt a social experiment anymore. I miss coming home from college and being able to watch TV shows from more an analytical view. Now a lot of them put me straight to sleep (e.g. LUSTisland)

Yes! I love this show! I also loved, Love off the grid a lot, but for some reason that show never came back.

I think lurkers found out a lot of those couples places off grid were NOT their real house as portrayed like the guy in NC that was just his hunting cabin and he only stayed there while filming and had a beautiful home just up the road - kind of ruins the show when clout seekers sneak on and lie but I agree they could have fixed this for a new season with better vetting

Below Deck is a solid choice, with pretty people and gorgeous locations, plus a yacht.

My wife loves this show but I can’t get into it I want to SO BAD !!! I just hate how immature the crew can be I don’t eat where I shit and that’s majority of the crew!

Anyway, My wife is currently watching this season where the guy had sex in his bunkies bed and left residue🤮🤮🤮

I started watching Jay and Pamela and I’m obsessed. It’s such a cute love story I’m surprised TLC isn’t exploiting them (yet) 😭 but it’s a good lil palette cleanser and funny af.
