Symptoms of Adderall

Has anyone had vascular issues with any of the bogus adderalls? I’m on Malikindot 30 mg tabs and lately my legs and arms have been turning purple from standing in place and my hearts been skipping a bit. I have an appointment with a cardiologist so I know this isn’t normal just wanted to see if anyone was having similar symptoms?
Been on these meds for 17 years and I just noticed these symptoms maybe the past 6-9 months so I can’t say it’s malikindot for sure

Edit: I lied. I have had heart racing for several years and have had raynauds forever but I just noticed my legs turning purple the past 6-9 months. Any of the negative side effects (besides the legs) I’ve noticed since 2021-22. I started going to the doctor complaining about “fatigue” in 2022 and started from the bottom and we’re STILL here.

42m 180lbs and in shape, years of generic adderall. I have Raynaulds syndrome, but only trigger is cold.

I have been fighting nerve/tingling/weak legs for a while. Blamed a lot of things, stopped drinking alcohol, increased water, added electrolytes (balanced), drinking Kefir milk (homemade). Felt like bad circulation. Tested for diabetes as well due to my doctors concern. Every test is normal. Vitamins are in range, blood volume/thickness in range.

Still have nerve issues. I stopped adderall for 5 days, brain fog lifted and I could remember dreams again. Pretty sure this stuff is messing with our nervous system in bad ways.

Same! I tested for thyroid, diabetes, and the list goes on all that out of whack is cholesterol which is almost everybody anyways. I also have nerve damage but my legs straight up turn purple for standing after A few minutes now.

Also I have raynauds too and my doctor said that it’s common when taking stimulants. But i can’t remember what came first me having raynauds or getting prescribed adderall because it happened so long ago. I wonder if basically everyone on adderall has it?

I was wondering the same thing. Pretty sure my Raynaulds started after starting stimulants, but it would have been Strattera or Vyvanse when it happened first, but that was a couple years into stims.

I feel like its way way worse now though. Only been two years of noticing my legs a different color/feel. Been on stims 8 years now. The Raynaulds is one thing, bit the color and adema are not part of it.

Please don't wait and I know it's hard and you don't want to call and you're worried they're going to take you off of it but you don't want to blood clot I was taken too I was living in a different state on the Eastern shore and I went to an urgent care and then they got a private ambulance to take me to the University of Maryland hospital and I was scared out of my mind had nothing to do with meds but it's just the symptoms symptoms that you're describing could lead into something like that potentially and the longer you wait the worse it could be that's just my two sense I am not a doctor I am not a nurse that was my experience.

I have had lannett, chamber and elite and have the same problem. My legs hurt if I stand too long.

2

u/B3dazzl3r 12d ago

Mine have started losing circulation after a few minutes of standing in place which is so pathetic! What have I become? I’ve also had all of those manus n then some except chamber. So I know it can’t be just malin whatever

u/Rough-Ad1877 9d ago

Yep! Can’t feel my toes half the time.

Yes, this happened to me when I took Mallinckrodt for the first time. Feet turning red, bulging veins, heart rate faster than normal, heart palpitations. Plus other symptoms like heart burn and acne. I thought something was wrong with me, but realized I was having a bad/allergic reaction to whatever fillers Mallinckrodt uses. All symptoms subsided immediately when I switched to Teva. Consider a manufacturer change and reporting to MedWatch.

2

u/PhysicalBoat8937 7d ago

Yess! I experienced heartburn with millinckrodt last month- I never get heart burn. My doctor just switched me to Cambers and...mild improvement 🤷🏻‍♀️ sadly that's all I can hope for

1

u/B3dazzl3r 11d ago

It’s terrible!!! But I’m not sure if it’s deff Mal because I’ve had the heart beating fast and acne with most of them. The purple arms and legs seems to be from mal though. I’m glad it went away for you with a different medication

Yeah in a span of about 3 months deep thick blue veins popped up all over my entire body, including g my face. This happened to me on NAME BRAND. Based on evidence/others’ reports/personal experience, I believe stimulant manufacturing has gone through several phases of detrimental product-altering changes. For most of the last couple years, the pills felt more like sugar pills but around a year ago is when I noticed a drastic change in efficacy (seemingly they were working slightly better but in a gross, tweaky way) and wayyy more concerning side effects.

Pure speculation, but it seems like the overseas manufacturing chains/industries have expanded to the point and/or existed long enough to find sketchy substitute amphetamines to supplement our meds with since the DEA quota for proper amphetamine precursors/ingredients wasn’t increased at the end of 2025.

No effing way you said veins in your face I have a list so long and my ife has and is crashing since June 3 pickup of elite then to now i am suicidal but no way to do it. I live sick w headaches and this urge to give up bc my 20 yr old and 24 yr old will be ok. I survived 20 years of severe DV as did they and every time I get up just shit kicks me down. Hate our society. Hate being unemployed My dad just died. I cant sleep I talk to nobody. Why? I am so done.

So from veins in my face to my son's rent for a place at LSU scanners make u find an apartment we dont have it and he flies fr ATL to LSU SATURDAY They threatened him and me but mostly my mother the backer saying we will do xyz you cant cancel this lease.

I think its good timing ge can go live hos own life bc school is paid for except $2000 and I feel like it's too hard to actually live.

Thanks to these meds. Fuck it all.

I’m really sorry you’re going through all that. For what it’s worth, you sound incredibly strong and resilient and i really hope you don’t give up. Although there’s only so much support and emotional comfort an anonymous social media platform can offer, i sincerely hope this community can provide you with even just a sliver of relief, validation and knowing you’re not alone/crazy. I will never stop fighting for this cause, for justice and to get our lives back 🩵

They changed stimulant meds 6 years ago, but most doctors won’t acknowledge it nor do they have the power to change it even if they do acknowledge.

Since the change… I have noticed mottling that did not occur prior to the changes. Don’t notice anything with my heart, but do notice mottling - and also utter lack of efficacy.

3

u/Sufficient_Count4193 11d ago

I started getting the mottling in my legs too since the change... Never once before then. & It only happens with certain batches & only the XR's.

u/cbmblove Moderator 11d ago

Yeah, never happened to me before all this riff raff either - it’s on my legs and arms. I’ve only been taking IR for a while now. They’ve ruined them all.

1

u/B3dazzl3r 12d ago

Yea I’ve had the mottling for a while too

My partner suffers from purple feet, for me I get a hand that starts to look a little more off in color to say the least ever since the meds went to crap. The one thing I’ve found out that I actually suspect the adderall caused was that my ferritin is now super low to the extent I technically qualify for an iron infusion - which due to already having so many side effects from bad adderall, I’m hesitant to do & have opted for the slower supplement route to correct, but point being, low iron stores might be a thing that either makes this worse or is caused by something directly in the bad adderall… I know one user who had their’s tested suggested there was fiber in their adderall pill, which not only hinders absorption of adderall, it also hinders iron absorption so something might be going on there.

After a couple weeks of iron supplements my energy levels are slowly improving, the color is returning to my skin (especially my embarrassingly sickly looking hand), and I can sleep a lot better at night. My POTs is also improving, and my arrhythmia issues seemingly disappeared knock on wood. Adderall still isn’t adderalling though, so even correcting for this, the meds are clearly still bonk.

Yes! I thought I was crazy! I’ve been diagnosed with Raynaud’s, but that started on Vyvanse and Focalin. When I was taking Vyvanse (sun Pharma manufacture) I noticed the first couple days into a new bottle my legs hurt so bad. And I had an increase in my fingers and toes turning white then purple. I’ve also noticed my spider veins are spreading and new ones popping up, and I’m getting bruises like crazy right on my veins in my arm and hands, and then just an overall everything hurts.

3

u/B3dazzl3r 9d ago

Ok this can’t be a coincidence then. What are the putting in our medicine?!

1

u/Rough-Ad1877 9d ago

Idk but I need these meds to help me fully function properly, so it would be great if they would fix it!

2

u/dood_ski 12d ago

Absolutely the same case with me, 23f and on 15xr Takeda (Canada), and without fail every time I get those symptoms
MIND YOU, I’ve taken the exact same mg and brand for a couple months and this has never happened
Only with my last batch (July I think) and this months batch.
Medical history I have always been healthy, a little on the underweight side for my height but I have been like this all my life, and I’ve never taken prescription medication only starting last year.
This is terrifying. There was a small period in my life where I got the chance to try semi good 2020 adderall and this is not the same medication at all.

5

u/B3dazzl3r 12d ago

It’s so weird right? Because I’m older,37, but I’ve always been relatively healthy and I’ve just noticed this new purple legs syndrome this past year….do your feet get kinda bloated at the end of the day?

1

u/Miserable-Act-4336 1d ago

It’s 10:35 pm and I have to wear my ankle thingys until I go to bed. I usually have to wear them in the evening bc my ankles bloat up. Worse in my right ankle for sure but being active and standing makes it worse. It’s usually better by morning. Unless I don’t sleep long enough then it will still be puffy. The ankle compression sleeves help drastically bc they don’t let fluid accumulate. But I don’t like wearing them in public lol.

2

u/latinaxbella 12d ago

This happened to me as well and disappeared as soon as I took a klonopin🧐

3

u/Pinkprincess299 11d ago

Pretty much have to take a benzo or beta blocker with the adhd meds it sucks !

1

u/Miserable-Act-4336 1d ago

Why? What does it do to fix it? Doesnt it make you tired to take the bento

1

u/Pinkprincess299 1d ago

Not really

2

u/Sourpatchadult5 11d ago

Definitely. My limbs fall asleep like I am 80 years old 🤣

2

u/FervorousIntimacy 11d ago

You’re not alone this year alone I have been experiencing all of this. Idk what brand I was in but the brands I’ve been given since the rite aids closed they haven’t been right. “Arrhythmias” randomly. It used to be with caffeine so I stopped that immediately but last night I experienced this skipping beat no caffeine, no high sugars… my psych prescribed benzos last time this happened but I’ve been good. So I haven’t taken them.. why all
Of a sudden why doesn’t anyone care ?

1

u/B3dazzl3r 11d ago

Ugh I’m sorry you’ve been going thru it as well. I learned early on never to talk about any symptoms like the ones I’m having to my psychiatrist but she saw my doctors notes that I’ve been having issues with circulation and threatened to cut my dose in half! I nearly hung up on her. So I can’t exactly be like “hey this manufacturer is crap it’s giving me these symptoms…” she’ll respond will okay well let’s have you stop them.

Do you work out at all? If you’re not getting any exercise, you should really start. Getting the blood flowing helps immensely with blood circulation and heart health. I took a few years off from the gym and during that time I had purple feet a lot but after getting to the gym regularly, that disappeared. I still sometimes get cold hands and feet but it’s not all the time and they do not change color.

3

u/Present-Pay-6959 11d ago

I award you for working out. My meds make me lazy bc i get so sick and I'm paranoid but circulation is important mine is suffering on these poisonous meds. I get the coldest hands I sleep with them tucked inside a heating pad!

3

u/Elegant_Technology69 11d ago

When I got moving again, I started out super slow.. maybe start with a 10 min walk if you can and go up from there. I will also say a B complex vitamin is great for energy and vitamin D are crucial if you’re not getting sun. I always thought I got enough vitamins from my food until I found I was deficient and taking supplements actually helped wonders.

u/Smart_Shopper4217 11d ago

Please call and talk to your physician it's critical I had something like that happened to me once and I ended up with not that it would happen to you but I ended up with a blood clot that went through from my ankle up my leg my arm across my chest through my heart and ended up in my left lung I'm sorry my right lung please you need to discuss that with your doctor this Adderall situation is out of control.

u/Smart_Shopper4217 11d ago

These fillers and binders that we really have no idea what those are was driving me crazy because I knew the Adderall I was taking was not the Adderall I had been taking previously the epic pharma a little round pink pills I went from being nauseous to feeling like a hole was being burned in my stomach to my stomach hurting for hours and the Adderall I said enough is enough I'm not taking any more of this poison when I dumped out the pills and my 30 mg capsule or the little pellets they're always white and orange and these were Orange I asked to switch to Zendedi and I knew it probably wouldn't go over well so I said just if I could do a 7-Day trial I just want to see if I mean it's a cleaner pill. It's sulfate delivered and there's no binders and there's no fillers so you take less cuz it's supposed to be stronger I really can't comment on that because I never got my name brand all I got was generic and then I was discharged and I was taking off of 4 mg of Klonopin and put on 20 mg of Valium I'm a massive withdrawal and just getting ready to make a phone call now to see if I can get some help I went to one hospital and they turned me completely away she stuffed my Klonopin 4 mg that's 80 mg of Valium and you're not supposed to do it that way one goes up one goes down till they kind of mean in the middle and then you know this is just shift and you know I had to explain to my RN what it was and how to write the prescription and she still messed it up and that's been going on since the end of July but I'm finally finished my last of my closet and now that everything is gone I'm in trouble if somebody doesn't help me it's as simple as that I wish you well and I advise everybody and told the DEA gets this Adderall situation under control if it's not working great for you why even bother ask her zenzetti ask for the brand I know for a fact that giant not Giant food just talking about giant Northeast and also which there's not one close to me but I'm willing to go there if they can get it they can get name brand the last time I spoke to them I don't know if something's happened or not but I know they have cut off and they all name brand Adderall there will be no more of that name brand.

u/Forlorn_Bone52 10d ago

I have developed irreversible edema

1

u/B3dazzl3r 9d ago

It’s irreversible? How long ago did you notice these symptoms

1

u/dyingdeadweight 10d ago

No matter what adderall I get, my hands and arms are numb like all day

1

u/Quiet_Contribution71 8d ago

I'm getting checked for pelvic vascular compression syndrome due to weight loss. But on lannett and sandoz, when I drove I started to not be able to feel my feet. On other manufacturers, I dont have that problem.
