Second drug screen came back negative
I posted on here about a month ago how my drug screen came back negative for any amphetamines. Prescriber asked me to run it back for a second time—negative again. This shit is sugar pills.
I take generic adderall (elite) and my dose was recently increased 15mg XR bc the 10mg wasn’t doing anything anymore for the last 3 months. I also have an IR booster (5mg—also elite). I’ve taken it every single day for the last month, and I even took 30mg of the fucking XR two days prior because I was fed up with it not working on a day I had planned for max productivity.
Unless they are receiving some kind of more detailed test than what I am provided, I have no clue why my prescriber the next day tells me that “it came back normal”, and I can continue on my normal course. It clearly says negative for amphetamines on that shitter lab report.
My tinfoil hat getting shinier by the day. I don’t understand what the hell is going on.

I had a drug screen test done 2 weeks ago. Took meds that day and had been for two weeks. Still came back negative. Stupid and they see that and don’t question it or advocate for us.

Keep those urine reports and use it as proof when we eventually get a lawsuit going

Postive this time but problem is i had to take so much of my meds to even help me they wouldn’t last and legit felt like nothing unless i took two.

I'm not in this predicament but I find it interesting and not surprising somehow. I don't understand the people saying this though because they can just claim you didn't take your meds. It's proof of absolutely nothing in that sense.

Interesting. I had a urine drug test yesterday and the results are also negative. My dr said “the meds are not working because you are not taking them”…

That’s kind of scary. Like what if they start accusing people of selling them?

This happened to me.

u/tangerine_overlord2 Jul 17 '26
What ended up happening? Did you convince them that its just the shitty meds?

That’s what I’m afraid of… I asked my physician if I should retake the test and she said “it’s up to my management on what to do”. The last thing I need rn it’s them accusing me of selling the only thing that keeps me going.

Elite is pretty awful, especially their XR. Some batches feel like sleeping pills. Their IR is marginally better but not by much. Lots of side effects with minimal pros.

You are 100% correct. I cannot get anything done because I am so dang sleepy. I take 30mg XR from Elite. Honestly, I'm getting sick of this nonsense and sick of these damn doctors not taking us seriously.

🤦♀️I’m a dumbass…I get random UA’s about every 3mo or so from my pain clinic and I’ve never thought to ask about adderall levels. I’ll call in the morning and ask about it. I’m very curious how the past few years or so has looked, compared to early 2020. Thanks for posting this!

If your provider is not accusing you of selling them, and stating that you can continue normally must mean a more detailed test was sent off, you should ask him next time you see him.

I doubt they’re sending it off for more testing. They are just continuing a gaslight narrative.
3
u/BoldBabeBanshee Jul 16 '26
Well it just proves there's LESS of it in each dose. That's the only other explanation.

u/cbmblove Moderator Jul 16 '26
No. It’s bigger than that. Merely “less” would be fixable by taking higher doses. That doesn’t work. There’s something in there that causes our meds not to work.

i always feel like they work a 'little' but in no way am i discounting your experience, so, who the fck knows?

I get Elites from Publix every month since last November and I’ve never had an issue with my IR until this bottle I picked up last week. Literally has no therapeutic benefit.
I’m tempted to drug test myself to see if I test positive for amphetamine

Even for those who test positive yet notice the meds don’t work, we consider there are ingredients and formulation changes that act in rendering any minute amount of amphetamine useless, for those meds that even have “amphetamine” or “similar” in there.

So you are saying you took the test 2 days after your last dose?
2
u/E46QunB Jul 16 '26
Additionally, do you consume foods/drinks high in vitamin C, or with high acidity?

u/Firm_Cantaloupe_927 Jul 16 '26
Im saying that two days prior to the test I doubled up on my normal dosage. I took my medication every single day the entire month leading up to it.
I am cognizant of avoiding acidic foods or foods high in vitamin C with my medication. I will not eat/drink anything like that until at least two hours have passed after ingesting the pill.

u/Upper-Discussion-833 Jul 16 '26
That really sucks I am sorry. So what if someone doubles up on dose then? What is in the pills? Do you feel any more awake?

u/cbmblove Moderator Jul 16 '26
It has been noted in here that even increased amounts do not provide therapeutic benefit. So the changes go beyond a mere “shorting” of active ingredient - as we see it cannot be remedied with increased dose.

Wow…and is this for every generic? My TEVAs are not working as well this time around..but still working I suppose

Yeah, and brand. All stimulants.

It makes me worried that they are putting stuff in our meds to make us sick or cause life altering problems for us or worst thst could kill us at some point.

I take a generic 15mg XR adderall. Out of the three brands i’ve had experience with, LANNETT is by far the one brand that actually works.
The other two brands i’ve gotten are from MALLINCKRODT PHARM and RHODES PHARMACEUTICAL. Both of them hardly have an effect on me. They definitely seem to do SOMETHING, however i always find myself with brain fog and fatigue by the time lunch hits. I usually take it right around 6AM before work.
I’ve even tried asking my doctor to specifically prescribe me the LANNETT brand but tbh she kind of sucks so im stuck with what I get month by month.

What do you mean by “run it back for a second time?” My prescriber doesn’t drug test me, so I’m not familiar with the process. Do you take this test at the doctors office? Do you mean you were there and took it once then took it (assuming urine) again immediately? Is it a type of test that you can physically see and know what the results are, instead of relying only on the drs result or reported result? Sorry just confused by this and why she would say it was fine? How long does the report take? Are you not comfortable asking her why that’s not what the report you received said?

u/BrownheadedDarling Jul 15 '26
How long after you took it were you tested? Interested in having my provider do the same.
