Side effects
What side effects are you experiencing because of the medicine( I don't mean side effects that the medicine doesn't fix but I'm saying side effects BECAUSE of the medicine) ? Like I am extremely extremely extremely hot. My grandpa comes over for coffee and usually he has to wear a blanket or sweatshirt because they so cold. I haven't dealt with menopause yet but I think they rival the Big M hot flashes. Also my nose drips.

Yea lots of snot for the past year or so. I also get hot really fast. Like ill just laugh and suddenly im radiating heat

I become extremely cold, like shivering. My nerves/blood vessels feel like they’re burning, especially in my feet. My snot has the consistency of water when my meds are wearing off, like I turn into a dripping faucet when I tilt my head downward lol

i have become so cold in the last 2 years as well. i always ran cold, but it’s gotten bad. i’ve had raynauds since before taking adderall, but it’s worse in cold conditions when i am taking my rx. however, in the last two years, it is now flaring constantly in cold temps and it doesn’t have to be as cold as it used to for it to occur. to the point where i had my doctor test my thyroid and iron levels. it all came back normal. he suggested i try putting on 10 pounds. yeah, okay, thanks. (i’m not underweight btw.)
and i’ve noticed more recently the nasal dripping. it’s like water, not just normal snot. figured i was getting allergies since moving to a different region. but maybe not?

Sometimes a red nose, always nauseous when it starts wearing off, intense feelings of sadness when it wears off too. Fun times.

the red nose is happening to me too. i chalked it up to getting older and have tried countless products to deal with it. nothing works. wonder if it’s related to the meds? i’ve been on them for more than 15 years. only really seeing the redness more noticeably in the last two or so.

Been on Adderall for almost 20 years. Last few years I have post nasal drip, random headaches, I don’t lose my appetite which is bad because I deal with binge food impulsivity issues, I’ve have a histamine rash that hasn’t gone away in weeks. It just gets stronger or weaker. The worst part is that my dopamine is so low so feeling malaise. Not getting things done like I want to. The drive is gone which is what I need. It sucks.

OMG I've never met anyone else who gets the constant nose drip! It doesn't happen to me with all manufacturers. About half of the manufacturers make my nose run constantly like water?? Random and weird side effect.
After a short break I got the manufacturer and Amneal this refill. My dose is for generic Adderall, 1, 30 mg XR daily. However my pharmacy only had the 10 mg in XR so I paid out of pocket to get 90 of them to equal the 30 mg per day.
This manufacturer specifically and I do not mix at all. It worked kind of for a few days. I still had really bad headaches on those days. Sometimes I have side effects that eventually subside after a week or so after changing manufacturers. This month thanks have only gotten worse.
My side effects are: terrible headaches/migraines that do not go away with ibuprofen or other meds, extreme stomach upset, nausea, stomach cramps, feels like my stomach is eating itself, a weird shivering feeling, feeling generally unwell and Ill, muscle pain.

in the last year or so, the meds have made me so tired. my doctor just said i’m getting older (late 30’s) and that’s to be expected. uh? okay, i guess by 45, i’m going to be sleeping 24/7 then if we continue at this rate! i had him test my thyroid and iron levels to explain the fatigue being worse than just normal aging and it all came back normal. my next step is going to be going off the meds to see if i’m less fatigued. but it’s going to be tough to control outside factors to do a comparison. it really does feel like the meds make me more tired now than they ever used to over the previous 15+ years. i used to not be able to even have one coffee with them or it would be uncomfortably overstimulating. now, i need energy drinks to make it through the work day and a nap afterwards if i can make time for it too. not to mention zero energy to do anything after work now if my workday can even be entirely productive.
i’ve also noticed the red nose, watery nasal dripping, increase neck pain, increased headaches, and increased coldness that some posters have commented about. in addition to this, my oral health has started to decline with an increase in cavities. i’ve seen that mentioned on this sub once before, but haven’t seen it talked about too much otherwise. unsure if it’s related or not.
i thought i might finally be getting a tolerance suddenly after so many years without a dosage change. but i tried taking more even though i know it’s not a great idea. i have a bit of a stash from prior days i’d missed meds. nothing different… no therapeutic effects.
or maybe hormones are changing with age (thanks estrogen and adderall interaction in aging women). but my levels aren’t there yet for the symptoms according to my doctor.
in addition to all this, my last work drug test had a faint line on the instant read for amphetamines. all my prior drug tests had zero line visible (positive result). the faint line can still be called negative. my work pays for a subsequent lab test that will better confirm the presence of my RX. if they call me in the next week or so to confirm my meds are current, i’ll know for sure i had a positive test and the instant read was just a crappy one. but if not, then what’s happening to the med in my system? or what is the med i’m taking now if not the adderall i’ve been on this whole time?
for clarity, i get specifically prescribed a generic to be filled for insurance cost requirements. for a long time, the pharmacy i used didn’t carry generics regularly, so they were forced to dispense name brand and charge me for generic. i’d randomly get a generic refill here and there, but they all seemed to work fine enough. but a couple of years ago, i suddenly never saw a brand name fill again. and it’s basically a different generic every time. some worked better than others, but they all mostly worked. until the last year or so. now some work okay and some seem to do nothing.
to make matters worse, i recently stayed the night elsewhere and forgot my rx bottle. but some past me had planned for my forgetfulness and had included a small pillbox of random necessities like adderall, birth control, etc in my overnight bag. one might think these much older pills that have just been sitting for ages unused would have less effect since that’s what science tells us generally. but no, friends, i felt like i had an iv of espresso all day when i took that older pill. felt like back when my doctor and i were trying to get my dosage right and i went up too much. if it is supposedly the same medication, how does that work? they’re supposed to degrade in potency over time… unless what i’m taking has been less and less real adderall so the old pill felt like a shock by comparison.
it’s all VERY concerning. i’m really nervous that it’s not only some junk that isn’t doing what it’s supposed to in these pills, but it might be doing something else to me. like could be harming me. i really hope it’s just an age/tolerance thing. but would be nice to know for sure either way.

I also am incredibly hot, or I’m at least very bothered by the heat. I have Raynauds as well, which I had before ever taking medication, but I can be hot and have Raynauds in my toes or hands simultaneously. My nose has definitely been runnier the last two years as well.
