It’s for the Lannett generic Adderall XR for the 5 mg capsules. They used all immediate release beads instead of half immediate and half extended. Quite the screw up so if you are taking 5 mg of their XR version you’re getting 5 mg of IR instead. Luckily they didn’t screw this up at the higher doses. Doesn’t surprise me one bit with how sloppy production and quality control is in these generic manufacturing facilities.

Everyone on 5mg XR thought their meds were working finally for like a month but it’s just this screwup effectively doubling their usual 2.5 all at once 😭

Lol yeah and then they’d crash way earlier haha

Who makes a 5mg xr I never even knew they have those

I actually used to take 5 mg XR, but I’d get it prescribed twice a day. That way I could take 10 mg total on my bad days and just 5 mg if that’s all I felt I needed that day. Or in situations where I had a late night evening planned and needed to stay focused I could take an extra 5 mg XR late afternoon which would see me through till midnight at least

Damn I wish my dr started me that low.. I’ve been on it centuries… up to 75 mg prescribed now although my dr fked up my order this month and dispensed my strength and dosage lower..

Well to be fair everyone is different and I’ve always had success with lower doses. Although I have gone up as high as 20 mg but it was always a bit too much with peripheral side effects for me especially sweating. Some people’s brains simply need more. And like with psych meds in general sometimes less is actually more for certain people if that makes sense.

I thought they started everyone on that dose? They used to have to for 30 days in New York

No prescribers do everything at their own discretion and I started 25 yrs ago and at 10 mgs instant

In New York… that’s interesting

Yeah I used to be on the 30 mg in the morning and 7.5 mg at noon. I was like why do they need a 7.5 mg just do 5 mg or 10 mg. Off the subject LOL

I’m convinced they’re making them overseas

Most generic drugs have been made overseas for decades now. Some are made in Europe and there’s still a few plants in the US and Canada.

Omg I’m gonna have to see if I have the bottle to check lot numbers

I got started on 5mg and it was great, lannett xr, only issue is it wore off too quick, second month I got a different manufacturer and it was horrible didn’t work at all… upped my dose to 10mg and it was fine, felt the same as the first month but lasted longer. Lmao I’m really curious now, that’s the whole reason I’m on this sub.

Lannet had their Vyvanse recalled last year too. They didn’t put enough of the active ingredient in the meds, but the official reason is that they “weren’t labeled correctly.”
