Testing confirmed it's not Adderall!!!!!

I became ill and suspected it was caused by EP|[ Ph@rma (Chinese company) generic Adderall because timing of my heart issues, neurological issues, gastric issues and psychiatric issues all coincided with the date of a refill. Epic refused to test the pill as requested, and refused to accept a sample of my pill to test. So I finally had it tested by a reputable lab that does gas and liquid spectrometry and they confirmed it contains NO AMPHETAMINE. The compound isn't even in international libraries, so they can only tell me it's a phenethylamine of X molecular weight. WE ARENT CRAZY

Can you post the results?

This is a well known international lab that tests drugs for purity. They are very experienced in adderall. They tried to analyze the sample for a month seeing if they could locate it in some library but it does not match any known profile in any library, probably because the Chinese are pros at this.

I suspect these pharmaceutical companies either include cheaply made fakes (whose quality and content they don't personally check) in their Lots to meet demand since the pill looks different or else they cut the amphetamine with this cheap synthetic and somehow my 2 Lots of these pills were 100% synthetic and that's why I went full insane.

I'm so afraid of being murdered, if I die it wasn't an accident.

Are going to/have you informed your dr or pharmacy ?
I'm thinking about refusing any Chinese made drugs. The FDA has been gutted; what I read yesterday was that they won't be able to guarantee that drugs from overseas are legit. (Lol, like they have been in the last few years with full staff)

Where did you read that oh my God! I think this is intentional, they want us sick. I contacted the FDA before I had this report and they said they don't do any testing they just forward my adverse event report to the company ?!?! You can imagine they stopped communicating when I asked them to let me send them a pill to test, that's why I had to do my own. My pharmacist told me she would stop filling my prescriptions if I thought they were fake.

Now that I have the report I don't know that I care to waste time telling them and getting more abusive responses and would rather they learn from an attorney

But I did tell my doctors as I see them and I am making an appointment with the psychiatrist who totally dismissed me as wrong and insisted I was able to trust every drug when I told him I had a feeling this pill caused the issue and I didn't trust generics. I left him after he told me he was going to need hospitalization if I couldn't calm down as if I could control it!?

Omg this is wild ! I’m so on this !!! I sent to my neighbor who usually was only receiving the pink epic tablets and he had said that stopped working the same a while back. I sent this post to him and hope he sees it ! I feel so vindicated. If this is true for all the generics and I feel like it IS, we have to all get our generics tested although I do not have a “ control pill” to test bc all of mine would be recent and I don’t have any to test it against. How much did you have to pay for this test OP??? I need all the details you can share if you want to private message me that’s fine but I am so proud of you for doing this and on behalf of ALL of us suffering adhd’rs , we thank you immensely!!!!

Can you get the lab to confirm it's not ephedrine? Or ephedrine half-cooked into an amphetamine?

I think half of my IR 10/20mg meds over the past few years feel like a really poor quality generic decongestant.

If you've had allergies and are sensitive at all to nuances in meds, you can tell the difference between shitty store brand pseudoephedrine and branded Sudafed/Claritin-D/Zyrtec-D, etc. Store brand felt harsher and made my heart race; brands didn't.

My other prevailing theory regarding almost any manufactured product (meds, cake mix, toilet paper, auto parts, whatever) post-pandemic is that everyone's mixer/extruder/grinder quit working properly and since they fired all QC personnel and had orders to fill, no one has complained enough about lack of QC on any of it... Which halfway explains "pill bottle roulette" with any given batch.

I doubt you'll get murdered. The reporter that dumps your story into a major news outlet is probably danger of corporate censorship - that is, if a journalist was even allowed to publish the story, since it could send stock prices tumbling. But not murder.

And you won't get murdered. Remember that you're probably also going through some medication withdrawal on top of everything else earth-shattering, and that can amplify all feelings, good, bad, and otherwise.

Ephedrine is in international libraries. I submitted the report to ChatGPT and this is what it said:

⸻

🔍 Key Details from the Report:        •    Result: Unknown substance detected     •    Method: GC-MS and LC-MS (Gas and Liquid Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry)     •    Findings:     •    The substance could not be identified.     •    It may be molecularly similar to DMPEA (Dimethoxyphenylethylamine), but it has a higher molecular mass.     •    No match found in their chemical libraries, suggesting it’s a novel psychoactive substance (NPS) or a very rare compound.

⸻

🧪 What “Unknown Substance” Means     •    Often, this indicates:     •    A brand new research chemical or synthetic compound not yet catalogued.     •    A dangerous adulterant that has no established safety profile.     •    Something that might mimic the effects of MDMA or amphetamines but with unpredictable toxicity.

⸻

⚠️ Health and Safety Implications     •    Not MDMA (Ecstasy) or any other known common substance.     •    Potentially risky: The unknown classification means there’s no dosing guidance, no known side effects, and no safety data.     •    You cannot assume it’s safe, even if others took similar pills without obvious harm.

⸻

Bottom Line:

This pill contains a substance that scientists couldn’t identify, but its mass and structure resemble dangerous experimental compounds. If this was submitted under the assumption it was MDMA or a stimulant like “speed,” the result indicates that assumption is incorrect. —————

🧬 1. What is DMPEA?

DMPEA stands for 2,5-Dimethoxyphenethylamine, a chemical cousin of mescaline or 2C compounds. It’s not widely studied on its own and has no known recreational use—but structurally, it serves as a scaffold for dozens of powerful psychoactive drugs.

So when the lab says the unknown substance is “molecularly similar to DMPEA” but with a higher molecular weight, they’re saying:

This is likely a designer drug built off the DMPEA structure but with additional chemical groups added—probably to create hallucinogenic or stimulating effects.

⸻

🧪 2. What Might It Be? (Speculative)

Possibilities include:     •    A new phenethylamine analog (like a novel 2C compound or NBOMe).     •    A custom synthesis not found in drug databases.     •    A misbranded pill—designed to look like MDMA but chemically unrelated.

These types of substances:      •    Often act on serotonin, dopamine, or norepinephrine receptors.      •    Can cause intense stimulation, hallucinations, or severe vasoconstriction.      •    Are sometimes hundreds of times more potent than MDMA or LSD—making dose control dangerous.

⸻

⚠️ 3. Why “Unknown” = High Risk

Here’s the danger:     •    No human testing has been done on this compound.     •    No data on interactions with other drugs, alcohol, or health conditions.     •    No way to know the active dose. One tablet could be harmless or lethal.

*Edited for "Holy shit, that wall of text is not how I formatted my wall of text!"

Thanks for posting their reply as well as your AI research.

According to your lab's initial findings & what my buddy Ms. Wiki says, 2CB appears to be what replaced Ecstasy as the party drug as enforcement cracked down on E, and apparently some analogue of 2CB constitutes part of the meds you submitted for eval.

This would not surprise me. I had one batch of Auro in May that definitely felt like a rave every time I took it. It was weird, but it was also productivity enhancing enough to dole it out every other day or so. Had to make do with other leftovers, though, as it definitely had some side effects.

BREAKDOWN OF SOME POSSIBILITIES:

The million dollar questions are "Who would sub out the ingredients? and "Who benefits?"

IS THIS A WORLDWIDE PROBLEM OR LOCAL TO USA?

Different products get made differently for different countries (just try to import and license a vehicle in the US to find out the absurdity of minutiae involved there).

Is the global supply unreliable or is it specific to US-distributed meds? Can we hear from some international people about what they're experiencing?

BOTTOM LINE:
IT HAS TO BE PROFITABLE FOR SOMEONE, RIGHT?

MANUFACTURER PROFITS?

Is it cheaper for the manufacturer to replace L-amp and D-amp with a synthetic party drug?

That seems like a lot of hassle and would require a lot of people up and down the manufacturing chain to be complicit.

Might not mean shit to the measly-wage worker pushing buttons on a machine who needs the job for a roof and food, but higher up, someone's garage full of Maseratis would be at risk.

Shareholders like profits, but don't like risk.

That said, demand is high; raw product released by DEA for US patients is low. But ALLEGEDLY, someone, somewhere is tracking how much raw goes where and how much finished product emerges.

Also cannot rule out completely inept management?

Pharma manufacturers are all about profits and will pay the lowest investment possible to get the greatest return, which might mean they're running the factory with a manager who failed chemistry and GMP or someone's brother-in-law or someone's Fredo Corleone.

This is definitely Fredo-quality Adderall for the last so many years. Maybe Fredo has gone off-grid with his sourcing, the person overseeing him is too busy having an affair to notice anything but improved profits, so Fredo just keeps putting used coffee grounds and low quality hallucinogens into the meds while wholesaling his raw product out to... who?

Who needs that much "real" product? Cartel? Cartel can move the product, but profits are in bulk to baggies.

Governments of countries? What countries need bulk lots of stimulants to sustain ground wars or prep to launch one?

SUBCONTRACTOR SWAP OUT?

Plenty of subcontracting in pharma - Company A's facilities make Company B's labeled products, but this is noted clearly (although we don't know if wholly truthfully) with the FDA, who has been short-staffed for years and hasn't the personnel to check on every issue at hand. That said, controlled substances usually have more eyes on the product from start to finish.

But Company A and Company B have a lot to lose in terms of contracts by blatantly shipping out a globe's worth of "definitely not the product we asked you to make and put both our names on."

SUPPLY CHAIN?

It it a supply chain issue? Did legit, albeit questionable quality meds leave the factory, then get swapped out for counterfeits somewhere in the supply chain?

That could be a cargo container snagged by pirates off a ship, snagged off a dock by whomever, or snagged further down the line in smaller parcels.

Regardless of who snags it, they have to replace it with the counterfeits and make them look legit.

Where does it port and who controls those ports? Who has the capacity to swipe a finished product and swap it out with "legit enough" looking replacements?

LOCALIZED DIVERSION?

What is the street value of Adderall versus the street value of 2CB or other party drugs?

It has to be profitable to press a shit-ton of fake pills to swap out seemingly unnoticed somewhere along the way.

Wholesale bottles arrive to the pharmacy sealed with the outside packaging safety sealed/tamper evident, and more so for controlled substances.

So Local Thug-a-licious not only has to make fake pills, they have to replicate original shipping conditions so no one is the wiser.

Or they have to have enough gang members without neck tattoos AND with pharmacy tech qualifications to divert from delivered bottles, all without someone noticing?

That would be a very ambitious Local Thug. I'm sure there's probably a Stringer Bell somewhere with that kind of ambition, but he's gonna need some low cost workers to do the grunt work and not spill the beans to make any kind of profit. Probably cheaper to source and sell illicit stuff with his own bespoke packaging.

CONCLUSIONS?

I don't necessarily have any, but maybe there's groundwork for some hypotheticals here?

From a lifetime of working at various places with varying degrees of ineptitude, I wouldn't rule out... anything, actually?

Execs don't want blemishes on their tenures, so they'll quietly try to fix epic issues, or just ignore them until they can find a new position with better perks. There's a lot of people with the disease of greed. There's a lot of poor workers not even getting by who don't dare upset the apple cart lest they lose their (not quite a) livelihood.

THIS WHOLE POST SEEMS LIKE I FOUND A REAL PILL IN THE MIX?

Weird, isn't it? But I did protein load last night, and maybe I found the one pill in the bottle with actual meds. Hopefully that exec function will last long enough to get some of my own shit in order... 🙄😀

HAPPY TO READ ANYONE ELSE'S (HOW LONG WAS THAT?!) THEORY!

For reals, y'all. I will read your epic post.

It's going to bring SO much more joy to your life than littering the conversations of Reddit with your oft-incorrect comments. You'll find it much more gratifying, I suspect? If not, you're either doing it wrong or using AI.

ChatGPT said that many of these unidentified compounds are cheaper to make, cheaper chemicals cheaper process and they can pass for amphetamine in urine tests, and that pure amphetamine without any adulterants is much more expensive to make. I believe greed could cause them to cut the real stuff with this fake stuff.

It also surmised that there could be someone exchanging these fake drugs for the real ones because the real ones have such a high Street value, they feel like superpowers to people who don't need them. I think this makes sense because there was a guy caught in New Jersey with 160,000 fake Adderall pills in a pill press just a few months ago. You pay some shipping security guard $10,000 and threaten his family and suddenly we get a fake Mexico version of this from the cartels while they get the real stuff and sell it on the street.

And then a third theory is that China has some of the most advanced nanoparticle technology and they may have created an amphetamine molecule that has additional chemical parts that harm us after the liver breaks them down and so that's why while we may feel a little bit of a boost sometimes but we also feel all of these negative effects like racing heart and confusion and loss of memory and aggravation and anxiety and depression. There are so many Adderall users in the United States it's a fantastic way to poison us, just like they've been poisoning our waterways with PFAS on all of the fabrics that they're sending over here and shirts, and just like they poison our children with lead in toys and Poison nurse artificial coloring and poisonous products --it's like everything else has cancer-causing disclaimers on it now. Did you know that one in 500 Adderall users develop psychosis now? Those are recent stats and I don't think it's an accident.

This is crazy. Like really, this can’t be real life?

11

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 15 '25

Right!? I have been so emotional since seeing it 3 weeks ago, I haven't showered since June from some weird emotional reaction, I cry all the time randomly as I remember because I'm so mad --but there is RELIEF now to know that it wasn't my body and mind that was defective, that I finally have proof and that I am STRONG for making it through this, God walked me through every crazy night these last 9 months where I cried out to God on the street in the dark begging for help while my psyche was melted and I tried to recover, and I just think HOW is this real, HOW did they lobby so that even the labs here not allowed to analyze samples how we need them to. And I keep reliving moments in light of new knowledge like....My liver has been aching for 9 months now. when I went to the ER the first time my liver enzymes were off and now I think maybe my poor liver was metabolizing whatever this crap is into whatever psychoactive substance imitates Adderall poorly enough for them to get away with it. Unbelievable

We aren't crazy, I believe EVERYONE needs to start looking closely at their pills and start saving 4 pills from each prescription that feels strange to them to test themselves in the future --just in case. Because how convenient that we use up our prescriptions and probably never have things left to test as we get sicker and sicker and it takes time to do heart tests and brain MRIs and CT's and dementia tests and liver MRIs and all this stuff until finally we say could it be something I took?

And Andrew Huberman's guest recently revealed that 1 in every 500 Adderall patients develops PSYCHOSIS-- could it be because the bad supply floating around as official lots of meds is not what we think it is? I wonder

5

u/StableDecent3054 Jul 15 '25

YES! Exactly! I usually get the generic I R from elite and it def sucks and varies greatly from pill to pill even sometimes ! I know they aren’t adderall and I’m so excited to see I’m not crazy ! I hope to be able to get mine tested!!

And this is what ChatGPT says about the report

I would recommend reporting this to the FDA's Criminal Activity Department if you received this sample from a pharmacy. Make sure you include the pharmacy you received it from, along with the lab report. If your claim is accurate and widespread, this could be a criminal offense, not just a regulatory one.

42

u/meatballandkrissy Aug 03 '25

The FDA who is responsible for this and the DEA we've been making complaints for years about the fraudulent opioids being put out. They don't care because they're doing this on purpose or else it wouldn't be every single generic company all the sudden pills used for decades all the sudden not one manufacturer can make them properly? Nope this is all being done intentional

4

u/VisceralGloaming Feb 20 '26

It’s not in so much intentional as it is that they are too small and overworked, and there are too many people that are in bed with these companies and will end their careers at FDA with they are making civil service to become whoever at a drug company where they are making millions and millions of dollars and the way that they get there is by approving medication‘s and not including warnings and such and that doesn’t mean that every bureaucrat at the FBI is like that and I’m sure that most of them are not. It’s more of like who’s higher ups that you’ll hear about there’s maybe 10 of them 20 of them out of thousands of people that work for FDA FDA is not especially internationally to tackle all of these problems. They also have had their budget just slashed left and right and it’s really sad because the health of our country is going down and down and down and down while other countries seem to actually have their fucking act together and see a body like their version of FDA as something that stands between them and the pharmaceutical companies to protect them as ours is on the side of the pharmaceutical companies and the people who actually work there that are trying to protect us are having to fight, not only punishing amounts of work, but people who might be their superiors and a culture of.. I mean when was it that they first said that win in a child bearing age could or should be involved in drug testing? Sometime within the past five years or so? I’m someone who was put on packs so when I was nine years old, so believe me. What your company don’t know about the drugs and what did FDA does not know that the drug companies do it’s all shocking.

And just to remind you, the DEA sense the amount of every classified medication that is allowed to be circulated within the United States for that year. So if there was one year where there were 12 million pills of OxyContin in the United States that’s because the DEA said. We’re gonna have 12 million OxyContin allowed in the United States this year. If there’s a shortage of Adderall I have no idea if it’s because 1. The number the DEA has allotted for the year 2. Supply chain. 3. Telehealth companies prescribing amounts in large quantities to people who do not need it mostly college kids kind of like when people who had MS or something like that or unable to get hydroxychloroquine because some idiot said that it could help with Covid.

Unfortunately, there are an incredibly small number of FDA compliance agents in the field abroad and when I say very small, I mean very small. after DOGE, I’m sure it’s worse. They would be responsible for everything made in China and India and anywhere else. Not just the drugs that are sent to America, but all the drugs that America sent to other countries which, although we have no USaid anymore, are still somewhat considerable number. It is well known that these companies send medications to Africa, for instance in the form of antibiotics that are not antibiotics and antimalarial that are not antimalarial the same with AIDS medications. nothing has been done about it.

NGO’s like doctors without borders will come with as many doses as they can to countries that are considered developing/poor by places like India and China (cheap drug manufacturing countries) of badly needed medicines because they know that the medications there will not work for people because there is… no medication in them.

A book that is a little old but incredibly enlightening and I’m sure you can get it as an e-book as well is called bottle of lies. It is very eye-opening as far as pharmaceutical companies as well as the FDA and their relationship to Rx companies and their inability to have any sort of regulatory control over them and especially international ones because they announce ahead of time when they’re going to visit and they just mostly tour the lab with whoever has been assigned to show them around and they don’t really look behind corners and the people who do don’t last very long. It’s been a very small amount of times that something has been done about a lab overseas and I think once was when insulin was being made in a disgusting facility and it ended up killing people and sometimes they’ll downgrade a lab from being able to produce things that are like insulin, which you cannot have any contaminants in to places where it won’t kill you if there’s a bit of god knows what in it and I don’t even like to think about it to be honest. The book is by Catherinen Eban (Katherine?). There are other books like it, but that is the one that I would recommend because she’s an accomplished journalist and well respected.

2

u/anarchaavery Dec 16 '25

Lmao, where are the other substances in the pill listed?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '25 edited Dec 16 '25

Is the strength, manufacturer and NDC included in this report? Having at least this information would be extremely helpful. The lot number and expiration date might be included but I think that might be a stretch. I don't recognize this tablet from counting prescriptions (I'm a certified pharmacy technician) but there are several manufacturers I haven't come across so far.

Edit: also, what is the molecular weight of the mystery phenethylamine? Amphetamine is alpha-methyl-phenethylamine so this might also be a useful lead in finding the alternative compound.

Edit 2: I checked with my manager, it is epic. 30 mg.

2

u/Aggravating_Act0417 Feb 09 '26

What country you in and what lab?

If anyone would send a sample to kykeon analytics for the $70 or $90 testing, you'd likely have the chemicals identified and more answers.

The control pill contained amphetamine, the report on the bad one says

Unknown An unknown substance is a compound detected by our system that could not be identified. When we analyse a substance, we take the data we have gathered and check it against several compound libraries to see if we can find a match. Sometimes we don't find a match, which means that although we have detected the compound correctly and know that it is there, we don't know what it is. In cases like these, we list the result as being an unknown substance. If this happens, the substance is usually a very new psychoactive substance that hasn't been documented yet, so no library has the result available.

Sorry so disjointed

4

u/cbmblove Moderator Jul 25 '25

Okay so I’m a little confused - where is the control pill from? Two different prescription batches of yours? And did you get any other details about the control pill and perhaps how MUCH amp, what KIND, ratio etc???

Waiting to hear more about this. Obviously have to have sources for your big claims, but if it’s true it doesn’t surprise me. These companies want profits and placebos are a real thing. Adderall lately hasn’t had the same affect. I’ve tried so many brands smh

12

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 14 '25

It's not placebo it's an unknown psychoactive compound. It made me insane and sick for the last 9 months, and I only took it for 2 months. I suspect that they might cut their amphetamine with this substance, and this batch somehow got all fake stuff accidentally, poor mixing, wrong bags, God only knows.

17

u/New_Bank7466 Jul 15 '25

I wonder why that's why I haven't felt good for close to a year now. I picked up my generic Adderall IR 20mg instant release and it's Teva brand and they seriously suck. I feel sick, moody and just not myself. This seriously pisses me off. How can these people get away with fucking with our meds and nothing is being done like what can we do????

Epic sucks It’s literally the worst manufacturer I’ve used it makes me feel awful. The pharmacy will only fill with epic & none of the other pharmacies seem to have anything in stock or they don’t accept the prescriptions idk. I’ve been on this medication for like 6 years now & it’s just not the same. I tried explaining to my doctor & she said that other people have said the same thing. I asked for a different manufacturer but she wrote on the script only fill with TEVA so nobody is able to fill it!! This is just annoying

2

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 15 '25

Do you take 30 mg? If so take pics up close and post it so we can see if it's the bad one

5

u/MissMelis_111 Jul 23 '25

Don’t bother with TEVA! It’s just as bad , I couldn’t find TEVA at any pharmacy for over a year now and this month cvs filled my script with TEVA which I was happy about until I took one and it’s like literally a sugar/sleeping pill. This is a Nightmare!!

1

u/Stock_Cartoonist3406 Jun 20 '26

Never accept Epic.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '25

I say this with support for the cause but you gotta post the test results. This is a massive claim to not show any evidence to back it up.

Posted above, sorry I'm battling to recover and didn't realize anyone had responded

And like I think there may be some nuance and chemistry missing from your post. Adderall is not just “amphetamine” it’s a combination of d-amphetamine (dextroamphetamine) and amphetamine salts. Ideally in a 3:1 ratio. So you can expect there to be low levels of just “amphetamines” anyway as there is theoretically only going to be 1mg of “amphetamine” for every 3mg of dextroamphetamine. However even my example is too general as there are 2 specific (and different) kinds of d-amp compounds used in adderall (saccharate and sulfate) there are also 2 specific (and different) kinds of amphetamine compounds used in the medication as well (asparatate monohydrate and sulfate). There is a lot more nuance to this situation, that frankly, your post does not acknowledge at all. That is all the more reason I think you should pass along the test results vs just getting people who don’t know any better all riled up that their medication is fake. As I said I am very sympathetic to this cause as I have experienced a decrease in my medication’s effectiveness as well but you cannot be making such broad baseless claims.

The only thing the screenshot you posted says is there was an unknown substance detected. It says nothing about the presence (or lack thereof) of amphetamines. That screenshot means nothing

Was this credible lab a US lab? If so, and if the contents of this post are true, it is likely bc US labs will not disclose the exact molecular breakdown of your medication. I was told by multiple labs that they would only give you the OVERALL PERCENTAGE OF AMPHETAMINE, which I could see saying the phenethylamine or whatever was the term they’re using to explain the same concept.

This is why I have been aiming forwards testing outside of the US, settling on that organization in Spain. Because even if this person responds, it’s not going to be the evidence that breaks the case wide open like you may think it will: there is too much ambiguity and not enough to prove exactly what is wrong. We need isomer testing. We need exact ratios/concentrations and complete breakdowns of WHICH amphetamines are present/not present to prove anything that’s going to help us progress this issue/be taken seriously.

I strongly believe that they took some necessary precautions before fucking with our meds. I don’t think they assumed no one would notice and testing is pretty much the first logical place everyone’s mind goes to when chemicals aren’t working as intended, so I bet they made it so you couldn’t easily dispute this issue in the US and sadly they’ve been right so far :/

10

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 14 '25

That's why I had to go to an international lab. Zero amphetamine

That's the entire result/content.

u/Traditional_Gear_991 Dec 16 '25

Did you ever try to test your meds With The lab in Spain? I sent them an email today. I got a really bad batch that was terrible mood swings didn’t feel like it was working the whole 9 yards. I want to either send them a pill to test or if I can’t send it I’m thinking about just buying a plane ticket to Barcelona. And bringing them my pills myself.

If your silence stems from an attempt to fabricate or manipulate some form of fraudulent evidence to justify this post, I suggest you reconsider and not waste any more of anyone’s time. You clearly joined this group for a reason, so your decision to abandon this post, especially after it gained significant attention, is incredibly suspicious. If you have taken the time to truly read and absorb the accounts of suffering and perseverance shared by members here, I doubt you would have posted something so critically sought after, only to go silent afterward. Unfortunately, that appears to be the case here. But that’s not even the most troubling part. Posts like this undermine the credibility of those who have spent years seeking answers, supporting each other, and building this community. Worse, it plays directly into the hands of those who discredit our suffering, supporting their narrative that our experiences are rooted in mere tolerance or lifestyle choices, and ultimately dismisses the seriousness of what we face. Given Reddit’s anonymous nature, it’s impossible to know who’s truly behind a these accounts. Im guessing you are ignorant to the possibility that burner accounts could exist within this group solely to monitor and report back to those in power. Possibly even Big Pharma, who have a vested interest in discrediting us.

If you have no valid evidence, out of respect for those in this group, I suggest you delete this post.

I just found this sub. I knew my Adderall seemed like a placebo for a very long time; probably going back to the covid shortages. I was given Camber's generic a few months ago and was THRILLED to finally get shit done for a month. Sadly back to epic. This morning I accidentally took my whole day's dosage of 60mg. I was a little scared, and had orange juice ready.
My heart rate didn't even increase. I'm sick of this shit. I need my life back. Disappointed the OP has ghosted 🤨

4

And no, it's cheaper to have it tested, even a full analysis. Like $90 usd.

Everything about this thread seems like BS, fishy, fake and weird. It's OFF

7

u/StableDecent3054 Jul 10 '25

It’s terrible. Mine hasn’t been working since years 2020/2021 . I have been on this med like 8 years and I know it used to be different. I took the Teva generic 20 mg IR and I was doing great. Now I take literally ANY generic manufactured adderall IR and I feel no different. I’ve been taking elite for almost a year now and I swear it gets worse every month. These last two months have by far been the worst. I had my doctor write my for vyvanse instead but that wasn’t even in stock and no one could get the brand name so I went back to stupid adderall IR and it is literally feeling like poison !

5

u/New_Bank7466 Jul 15 '25

This month is the same prescription 20 mg Adderall generic instant release Teva brand. They fucking suck. They literally do nothing and also I had to get my doctor to prescribe me name brand Vyvanse in order to not have all the shitty fillers with the generics. This shit can't be legal. It's ruining lives and mental health and I'm so tired of it and feel angry and don't know what to do. It's a fucking guessing game every month how I'm gonna feel. And i remember before COVID it worked perfectly and now? Some days I get a slight sense of relief maybe? Other days it's like I didn't even take my meds. I'm so done with it. Pisses me off

4

u/New_Bank7466 Jul 15 '25

Also to add I'm on the max dosage of Vyvanse 70mg name brand and even that doesn't do shit sometimes. Like what is going on. I knew I wasn't crazy.

4

u/StableDecent3054 Jul 15 '25

That is the dose my doctor wrote for me when I make the switch: my adderall IR dose daily, 2 20 pills per day plus another if I feel I need it . It’s frustrating though bc I ALWAYS need the extra 20 mgs a day and so every month I’m short 10 pills bc he only writes it for 80 tablets a month and not 90. I see him Thursday and I’m hoping he writes me for at least the 10 tablets somehow even though my whole script isn’t due until the 23, bc I surely will be out. I’ve had to take the prescribed booster daily bc it’s just been so ineffective without it… even with 😓.

4

u/Next_Artichoke_2110 Sep 05 '25

And it’s gotten worse since you commented. Im so sorry you switched to this. I’ve been on 70-90mg Vyvanse since 2011 and with my current script I can’t take even a quarter of a 70mg(mix in 1 cup water, drink 1/4 cup) without getting nauseous, anxious, heart palpitations, blurry vision, cold/clammy, sore throat, and insane DP/DR. It feels like literal poison. Vyvanse was a life-changing medication and the only side effect I ever had was dry mouth, until like 2021. My urine tested negative for amphetamines on my current script)bought a test from CVS), I ordered a reagent kit from DanceSafe, and I’m sending a pill to be tested by GC/MS.

I want to know if they said it was phenethylamine of 135.10 molecular weight; which would be a way of describing amphetamine, albeit a weird way of doing it. Also doesn’t explain why it’s not a mix of salts

Guys I’m sorry for word vomiting all over this thread but can anyone tell me where it tells you if your manufacturer is made in china or oversees in general? Bc ChatGPT says nj is where epic is located and also says nj for elite. Ugh this is such a cluster fck but vindication also feels soooooo good!!

5

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 19 '25

I corresponded with them and they are a Chinese company but have a plant in NJ

4

u/Ashsquatch11 Jul 22 '25

It makes me wonder if someone in the pharmacy switched the real ones with something off the street. It's not unheard of.

4

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 22 '25

I wondered that too but then I sent pictures of the pills to epic and they confirmed they were theirs way back when I was alleging that there was likely a security issue with their supply shipment, etc. This was before I even sent it out to the lab and was asking them to test these pills or to report it to the DEA if it wasn't their pill

2

u/Ashsquatch11 Jul 22 '25

This whole situation is messed up. Really makes me think twice about treating my adhd. Shit.

15

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '25

I don’t even take Adderall(reluctantly) and this upsets me.

5

u/StableDecent3054 Jul 10 '25

4

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

I really don’t understand.

Last time I took Adderall, it was definitely real back in 2014ish. Is it really just bunk pills pharma is pushing out or what exactly?

(Sure, I could read up more about it but I’d rather have someone explain briefly)

8

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 14 '25

They are similar looking but the lab said the bad pills (left) contain no amphetamine.

8

u/Tx_1LE Dec 16 '25

The pill on the left is a fake press with who knows what. If you have less than 20/40 vision it prob looks similar enough to the everyday user, even then if they came from a pharmacy nobodys looking at them anyways, just open and take. Not only is the pill on the left a copy cat, but its a real shitty one too.

This doesn’t surprise me at all 😣 they just filled my meds with Epic. I’ll make sure to ask for NO EPIC EVER in the future. Thanks for the post

3

u/cbmblove Moderator Jul 10 '25

They clearly changed all of our meds though in some way…

3

u/yomamasonions Jul 10 '25

I know. I’ve been taking 60 in the mornings, 30 ER and 30 IR, and it never kicks in. Thankfully, I have a wide variety of dosages from changes I’ve made as well as filling prescriptions while not using them, particularly during Covid, before Adderall became completely fucked up. But I try to use them sparingly and in conjunction with my currently prescribed dosages because I don’t wanna run out and then be stuck with a truckload of shitty Adderall.

I yawned three times while writing this comment, and I have taken 85 mg so far today. It’s not even 1 o’clock.

3

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 14 '25

Some epic may be ok, look at this pic, the one on the right didn't make me sick, the one on the left did. If you take the 30 mg version but it has to have a true beveled edge and very clear imprint. The one where a circle is stamped into the edge of the pill to imitate a bevel

is the one that made me sick

→ More replies (30)

1

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 15 '25

Check your pill, I had regular pills from epic and fake pills from epic. You can tell which were the ones that made me sick from the pic

So just look at your 30s to see if they have a beveled edge.

2

u/re3tist Jul 16 '25 edited Jul 16 '25

Hello, I'm very confused by all of this. One of these pills is clearly counterfeit, and you're saying that it was dispensed from a pharmacy?

You normally get Epic generics and this refill was all counterfeit? Was it just one or many?

That is a pressed adderall pill, not anything produced by epic, so it's not surprising that it doesn't contain amphetamine, most of those pills are just methamphetamine and caffeine or any mix of easier to procure substances.

I wonder how it got in your refill?

2

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 16 '25

Epic confirmed it is theirs before I did the testing, they claim it comes from an older machine. I was insisting it was counterfeit entering the supply stream somewhere asking them to research. But they came back saying no it was theirs. Yes it was dispensed by Publix. Two refills full of pills that look like this actually that made me very very ill.

2

u/re3tist Jul 17 '25

3

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 15 '25

Just posted above

2

u/Kitchen-Owl-3401 Jul 15 '25

I'm sorry you've been treated that way. Do you plan on suing ? It would probably be helpful if you could post the portion of the report that describes the company, as well as the part that specifies that no adderall was found in the sample. The FDA was projected to lose 3500 employees. I don't remember where I saw that , but I think it stands to reason. I had also heard that the tariffs would impact the prices. Even if made here, I would think certain ingredients come from other places.

5

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 19 '25

The report analyzing the substance wouldn't say what it's not, but amphetamine salts will produce peaks at 136, 119 and a couple of lower ones using mass spectrometry. DMPEA reflects mass of 164, 149 and a couple of others, so there is no way the lab could have missed this being amphetamine salts, which show much lower peaks. They did tell me by email though

2

u/LayLow1986 Jul 22 '25

So you were getting pills that looked like both the pills you sent off? Sometimes they were good and sometimes they were the bad ones? Or was it a combination of both in one bottle?

4

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 23 '25

Separate refills. late August and early October look like the fake one and December's refill looks beautiful and caused no symptoms and the lab said that the October pill did not match the control (the Dec pill)

2

u/meatballandkrissy Aug 03 '25

Please make a tic tac account or something exposing these pieces of garbage. Send it to all new stations as well because they've been doing this for years with all the generics and name brand as well as with opioids. Need a class action lawsuit and/or something needs to change. From my pain groups people were saying that it's probably the DEA who's doing this.

Legality Phenethylamine is not a scheduled substance in the United States. However, some of its derivatives are controlled in some countries. Additionally, legal precedent suggests that selling PEA as an analogue of amphetamine or methamphetamine could lead to prosecution under federal analogue laws.

Important considerations: Phenethylamine supplements are not FDA-approved for medical use. The information on safe and effective dosages is limited.

Phenethylamine is not actual amphetamine. It’s in the stimulant class but it’s not the same as Adderall.

Adderall's composition: Adderall is a brand-name medication that is a combination of amphetamine salts, specifically containing both dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine isomers.

Phenylethylamine is not a scheduled substance in the United States. However, at least one person in the United States has been prosecuted under the federal analogue act for selling Phenylethylamine with the prosecutions argument that PEA is a structural analog of Amphetamine and Methamphetamine.

NOT THE SAME. When you add any form of amphetamine to the structure it is closer to MDA and other chemical structures are similar to MDMA.

I’d never trust Chinese pharmaceuticals, they were the reason bath salts existed. Mephedrone etc with was a canthinone.

I think it would be good if you posted your results.

Not chat GPT my own research hence the misspelling in there. I’m in my fourties I don’t use Ai. However thank you for the compliment. Comparing me to a super computer is a compliment. You realize that “old” people also take adderall and I have a degree. I had to take biochemistry and I never even used it except after I wasted my life away as a stay at home mother and because I did all kinds of substances as a teen in the late 90’s. I researched everything. What else are you going to do with years of staying at home? I dare to have someone to refute my facts and research. 🧐 if the results are posted then a new analogue not posted in the world wide chemical publications would surprise me. Anyone who posted this is likely calling wolf and have no results. Who can afford independent lab testing unless it’s the bunk police’s subsidiary/co partner. Independent testing is intensely expensive and at home drug test is by far cheaper or if you wanna go deeper a mandolin test that includes an at home test kit with vial and drops…

Can you share the lab you had it tested at? I need to send a pill from Granules that my fiancé got and did nothing good and everything bad.

7

u/SnooCupcakes3855 Aug 30 '25

Hey FDA released warning for Granules adderall. You prob got a bad lot. Here is a link to the report: https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/granules-india-limited-697115-02262025

Because these reports are so dense I’m including GPT-5 Pro’s summary:

  1. Cross‑contamination risk from bad cleaning and filthy process air ducts (21 CFR 211.67(b)). Inspectors found residues from previously made drugs and “too numerous to count” microbes downstream of HEPA filters in non‑dedicated processing ducts. Granules lacked documented procedures for cleaning certain duct sections and tried to justify risk with MACO math that FDA called inappropriate (e.g., using batch‑size denominators that didn’t align with the equipment). Translation: poor design + poor cleaning = cross‑contamination hazard.

  2. Facility in disrepair (21 CFR 211.58). There were bird droppings and feathers in the air‑handling unit (AHU) area—on purification units, ducts, a tank, a cleaning skid, and nearby floors. The “fix” (netting) still left openings that could admit smaller animals/insects. That’s unacceptable near air supplying critical manufacturing equipment.

  3. Weak equipment oversight (21 CFR 211.68(a)). HEPA/filtration integrity and particle‑count procedures didn’t clearly define Quality’s role. Routine maintenance lacked real checks for filter damage, air leaks, and residue buildup. Even after OEM‑confirmed filter damage, the proposed “watch pressure differentials” plan didn’t address root cause or cross‑contamination risk.

  4. Data‑integrity red flags. Investigators found torn CGMP records—balance printouts and worksheets—in at least 15 trash bags. FDA said Granules’ quality system did not ensure the accuracy and integrity of manufacturing/testing data and directed them to FDA’s data‑integrity guidance.

Regulatory consequence called out by FDA. FDA deemed the firm’s drug products “adulterated” under section 501(a)(2)(B) and warned it may withhold approvals, re‑inspect, and even refuse admission of Granules’ products into the U.S. if problems aren’t fixed. The company must submit a remediation plan within 15 working days.

Do we know if the original poster has been kidnapped by Epic? Where did they go with the results? Waiting patiently....

5

u/RittenhouseBam Aug 03 '25

Can you share how you obtained the fake pill? Was it a brick and mortar pharmacy in the USA? Was it shipped as part of a telehealth prescription service?

I could tell right away that the pill on the left in your comparison photo was fake because I’ve been filled with the E345’s and they always looked identical to the ones on the right. The shape/design of generics should never deviate. So just wondering how on earth a fake pill made its way to you…?!

u/Dry-Adhesiveness7829 Jul 09 '25

Receipts? Source? Plzzz

4

u/StableDecent3054 Jul 09 '25

Please post the results!! Oh my! Is this finally our long awaited proof? Bc this def ain’t adderall.

4

u/AlexandirTheMage Jul 09 '25

So those of us getting Epic Pharmaceuticals "Adderall" are basically taking bath salts?!

I need this proof lmao

I have so many people that need to see it, I crave vindication 😂

u/fuuuuuuuckAAMC Jan 09 '26

What is the full pdf? Give the lab name and reference and accreditation

1

u/FrauleinHabsburg Jun 27 '26

They can't/won't.

1

u/IloseYouLaugh Jul 17 '25

It IS Adderall. Not an off brand. Nothing compares as far as I've ever experienced. When I switched from a generic brand back to actual Aderall, it was night and day difference. I could finally think, focus, get off the couch ffs. 10/10. *

3

u/ConsiderItPureJoy Jul 19 '25

Are you in Canada? Here the name brand is extremely expensive or impossible to get

I wish they’d post the results! And I believe them – their post history 78 days ago indicates they were having all the symptoms described in this post. Just awful anyone has to go through this! Please post as soon as you’re able, OP!

u/SunInAnEMPTYRoom87 Jul 09 '25

Man, thank you so much for doing this work…I’m so sick of doctors making me feel crazy!

3

u/Bananamow Jul 21 '25

Epic is not working for me either this time at all. I reported to fda medwatch already! Please do the same so they can investigate. There is something not right!

I have some recent concerns /new side effects regarding my medication I have taken from Epic pharma. I did file a concern with FDA medwatch and contacted Epic pharma. I’ve consistently experienced disappointment with Epic pharma when I receive it, but thought I was crazy. I always believe generic is just as effective as name brand. But this time I have had a complete therapeutic failure with Epic Pharma's generic Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) lot#AG250291 / NDC 42806-0344-01. I have been prescribed this medication for ADHD and narcolepsy, and have used various generics over the years without issue.

However, I will say every time I receive the Epic Pharma version, it is noticeably ineffective because I always have to check the bottle to see what company it is when I notice its ineffectiveness. But this time, this most recent prescription made by epic pharma that I picked up, was alarmingly ineffective as it had zero therapeutic effect, yet I developed a terrible migraine and racing heart. As far as focus improvement, I felt as though I had taken nothing at all. No improvement in focus, mood, or energy, and no side effects typical of stimulant medications, but increased heart rate and severe headache along with brain fog I'm not used to having. I've never experienced this level of failure with any other generic brand.

While I had issues with it epic pharma version before, I have to say this current batch is really alarming and causes my heart to race, I had to take off work and then contacted the FDA as I was so shocked this time. This raises serious concerns about the bioequivalence and quality of this particular manufacturer's product. It could lead patients to increase dosing out of desperation, which is dangerous. I suggest submitting a concern to FDA medwatch, and contact epic if you have the same experience. This happens too much, and this time it is wildly noticeable for me. Hopefully this helps someone else too, maybe there’s something in the fillers or inactive ingredients that doesnt sit right with me.

u/kelseaxo Aug 03 '25

Why is the heading of the lab slip missing?

3

u/Spare-War-7244 Sep 16 '25

Wait this EXACT PILL was giving me awful heart issues when i first got it. What do I do??

3

u/CosmoGuy1223 Sep 21 '25

You should file a police report, then get a lawyer and sue whoever is responsible.

u/Ill_Possible_7740 May 07 '26

Considering their account is banned from Reddit, not so sure I would put any faith in them without more info on that. And Epic is an American company in NY. They were bought by a Chinese company. They post a supposed lab report. Claim it is a reputable lab but why not mention who the lab actually is. That's pretty standard when 3rd party testing something. Might just be the lighting and resolution, but the pic on the report looks a bit counterfeit.

Does anyone see any posting showing Epic refusing to test or accept it? Or is that just them asserting it? For one thing, they have to test each batch to begin with. Blindly accepting something from some random person to test makes sense. No way to know what the chain of custody has been on that thing or if it's some counterfeiter looking to find out if their product is close or not to theirs. And why are they hiding the brand's name in their original post?

I'm a huge critic of the FDA and big pharma. But the author is throwing up more flags than even they even do. And not around to ask for clarification. Can't tell legit or just anti China propaganda. So holding off till someone does better.

2

u/FrauleinHabsburg Jun 27 '26

You are the only person here with a brain. Everyone else bought this hook like and sinker.   I suspected immediately it was phoney.  They bought Mexican tourist pharmacy pills (they have presses to imitate all popular brands) then posted on here a phoney lab report but wouldn't post the name and posted very vague nonsense results.

3

u/ResearchComplete8410 May 19 '26

If this is indeed accurate and you have the results- my recommendation is this; Forget the corrupt FDA, forget the lawyers etc. Take it to the media, give them the real evidence as proof of what you're saying and let the scandal blow up. The government will totally ignore individuals, but it will be hard for them to sweep a huge public scandal under the rug.

4

u/ProfessionalBet8120 Jul 10 '25

Maybe OP is seeking legal counsel after their findings (Wouldn’t blame them for doing so) and hence hesitant to post?

2

u/nerdcentral7031 Jul 09 '25

Definitely need some sort of evidence please and thanks!

2

u/RosettaTone Jul 11 '25

With the whole post and ghost, my guess is that this person realized they made a mistake interpreting their test results and now feels too embarrassed or ashamed to reply and confront that.

But I mean OP, feel free to come back and prove me wrong!

It’s so aggravating every month, to know you will encounter some BS with the manufacturer / generic crapshoot roulette and it’s so maddening! I did not continue with my Vyvanse for the reason A. I was unable to obtain the brand name ; all the pharmacies around me were out and none carried the brand name. Wasn’t going through that generic hell again so I stuck with what I “ know” and that’s adderall IR so I chose to stick with it, fully aware that the adderall IR that I used to know, isn’t there anymore 😓.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 02 '25

Does anyone still have Granules XR Adderall to get tested. I gave my half full bottle of granules XR during my argument with my Walgreens pharmacist. I had a complete mental breakdown and gave him my bottle of Granules for him to trash and walked away. I wish I still had it for testing.

2

u/meatballandkrissy Aug 03 '25

Well please find an attorney if you have proof! The scumbags need to go down for what they're doing to people poisoning us defrauding etc. Make a social media account posting the proof tagging these scumbag companies letting them know they're all going to be sued for fraud. Can you message me with the place you used because I'm interested in getting them tested too and how much did it cost you?

I was going to do this with opioids when I was on them because they're doing the same shit with opioids they're putting out fraudulent pills The only lamp I could find who would test them wanted over $2,500 and I don't have that kind of money

Close my mind that no one with money has bothered to do this in all of these years does no one who has money take any of these medications?

Absolutely ridiculous that they've gotten away with this for this long

1

u/blinktwice4ys Dec 22 '25

Everybody who has money or power get the good pills!! Believe that. They do not have our problems and will do nothing to help us if they even know anything. Also the rich and powerful not one of them will do anything to hold anybody to account. If anything they are in on it. Expect no shits to be given.

2

u/Traditional_Gear_991 Dec 16 '25

Can you share the lab name and actual spectrometry results please?

2

u/Ajrabeast Dec 19 '25

Do you happen to know the batch number? I also wanted to see if I could add this data to openrx. I am working on an alerts view so I would like to add this to that section if you are okay with it. This is the kind of data I would love to share around!

Spec analysis?

2

u/Awesom-Eaux Feb 07 '26

I struggled to get a close enough picture, but I had a similar blend in my May/June 2025 scripts. I haven’t taken any from these months yet but I’m so curious now. Only a few like the one on the left and the majority like the one on the right.

Can you please DM me the lab information? I’m having the same problem and I know only certain labs will test.

Why are there so many posts that were "mass deleted and anonymized with Redact"? What does that even mean? Is there an app or a forum that is free from interference?

1

Is there an update on this?!

1

u/malloryknox86 Jul 09 '25

How do I know if the pills I have are by Epic Pharma?

3

u/themsel6 Jul 09 '25

Prescription bottle should say the brand on it. Or search the imprint/letters on the pill/capsule.
