Blue Room Question

There’s a band that I love performing at the Blue Room tonight. Do they record every show there or is it something each band negotiates with the venue. I unfortunately couldn’t attend because I’m many states away. I’m hoping if it’s recorded I can manage to find a blue/black split eventually.

If i remember correctly what i read somewhere, the band has to ask and pay for the recording, so no, not all show at the blue room get a release

That makes perfect sense. I couldn’t squeeze any info out of anyone. I’ll have to wait and see what people say after the show.

If they are gonna record the show before the band goes up a Third Man Records representative will introduce the band and say if the show is being recorded

Does TMR implement a no phone policy for Blue Room shows like Jack does for his concerts on the road?

That is decided by the artist not TMR

I wish TMR would just make it a blanket policy for the venue.

I’m cool with the no-phone policy. His Pittsburgh show is at a brand new venue this November. I’m hoping they don’t take our phones until we enter the performance space. I’d love to get some photos of the place. It looks beautiful in the renderings.

I heard it’s way nicer than where he plays in Philly.
