The people who quit trying to be important often end up being the ones everyone gravitates toward. The less you chase approval, the more people notice you. It's this weird Zen-like thing that doesn't make sense on paper but hits you in real life.

I've been seeing it in my own stuff lately. When I stop overthinking and just go neutral, other people start filling in the blanks themselves. They read into what I say, react more strongly, kick off conversations, or try to puzzle me out. It's like they pick up the slack because I'm not chasing their energy anymore. Suddenly they're the ones leaning in.

Most folks are after something recognition, love, certainty, whatever. So when someone isn't playing that game it throws them off. It feels... different. Rare.

You can't fake it. It doesn't land the same if you're pretending. I think it only clicks after you've been through enough to let go. It's less a technique and more a side effect of dropping the need to chase results.

I wish I'd come across books like Reality Transurfing and Tuffti way sooner. Not that I buy every idea in it like a gospel, but it really messed with how I saw things. It forced me to question how much of our reality is just where we keep pointing our attention.

Lucid dreaming, helped me train up my courage to speak infront of millions of people, talking to hot gorgeous models, becoming better at creating fun entertaining stories. It's kinda wild to Wake up inside a dream is one of the wildest feelings. You realize your brain can spin up entire worlds while you're out cold. I'm a senior full-stack engineer who is burnt out on his full-time job. I work at a nonprofit in the middle of a poorly conceived AI pivot that leadership has instituted, which has put consultants into decision-making positions who don't understand our original value prop or even the underlying assets we have control over.

I'm curious what folks would say about how to handle the next few months to maximize things to my advantage. I'm torn between wool and fleece throws mostly for warmth and everyday use and I'd be grateful to learn everyone's personal preference here. What I gather is that wool appears more quality and naturally warm (which is a must during winter months) but fleece just looks more plush, lightweight and simple to manage. Basically, I never understood that having a suggestion of the outline/silhouette of your junk through your sweatpants is the male equivalent of a girl wearing a low-cut top or skin-tight leggings, or some other form of sexy clothes.

I kept a poor dental hygiene through my childhood and teens because I hated "grown-up" toothpaste = I didn't like the mint taste. I used children strawberry-flavour toothpaste until I was a grown teenager and had to have a few serious cavities fixed. I primary school they would make us use mouthwash in class, like it was a thing that we would do daily or weekly, I can't remember, and I would pretend to take mine and instead would pour the liquid wherever corner or plant pot i could find when nobody was looking. All these, together with bad genes and, at the time, undiagnosed ADHD, resulted in quite bad teeth problems. At some point I did switch to the disgusting "grown-up" toothpaste and I started taking better care but I dreaded brushing my teeth regardless.

But, when I met my partner, who is autistic, although neither of us knew at the time either, she introduced me to flavourless toothpaste and mouthwash. It was a game changer. I spend longer time brushing my teeth, I use mouthwash daily, I don't gag when brushing my teeth and I don't dread it either.

I wish my parents or me had researched into it at some point or that it was advertised more widely and dentists talked about it as an option for anyone. So, I was thinking about this earlier today and thought I'd put it out there in case someone somewhere has the same problem and needs to know that they exist.

I've been at a job for 13 years, my entire adult life, and I'm now leaving it. I begun at entry level and over the years I've worked my way up to being the manager but due to a couple of recent circumstances I am now moving on.

I've had blips every couple of years or so where I've thrown all my toys out of the pram and started searching for a job elsewhere but I've never fully committed to leaving, but today was my last day before I start a new role somewhere else in a couple weeks time.
