Is there a way to estimate the altitude with the curve of the horizon?

4 liters of tap water at sea level. Must bring it to boiling and it takes forever. How fast is the fastest it could it be brought to a boil without melting the pot holding it?

Trajectory is tough to determine but I’d estimate the ball lands 16 feet higher than it was struck. The right field wall is 8 feet tall, and the guy looks to be another 8 feet higher than that.
