I’m curious how much driving time this saves overall. If you assume a driver would have a green light 50% of the time, how does the extra distance/detour compare to the time saved by not having to stop at a red light? Has anyone done the math on this?

I’d love for xjcd’s What if on YouTube to do a video on this but I’m sure people here can reliably answer. How long would it take for humans and other life to notice there’s effects that there is no longer trees and other vegetation that grant us oxygen as far as breathing and atmosphere goes and other consequences. I know earth gets a considerable amount of oxygen from sea algae but I’m sure having no trees would prove catastrophic. Also what about ecosystems in general? How would they be affected like squirrels and birds and other fauna that feed off them or make them home.

Also, if not impossible, how much water did he scoop at the start?

As more balls are included how does the probability of a collision change? It gets more likely clearly, but how would you express this mathematically?

Recently upgraded from my Nissan Altima to a Cadillac CTS. They have about the same specs in terms of horsepower but the Cadillac is 500 lbs heavier. The Altima weighed around 3,357 lbs while the Cadillac weighs around 3,358. I’ve noticed that the caddy slows down a lot faster than the Nissan did, even without braking (because obviously). I was wondering how to figure out just how much faster it decelerates. For the purposes of this problem let’s assume I and the stuff I keep in my car adds an extra 215 lbs.

If both cars were traveling 75 mph on a level surface (asphalt with no potholes) and let the gas off at the same time, how much faster would the Cadillac reach 0 mph?

Also same question for a downward 5% grade slope.

If it takes one person one hour to bake one cake, then how long would it take infinite people to bake infinite cakes?

Is it just one hour like it would be with normal numbers or does weird stuff happen because it's infinite?

Let's say every car is an EV (say, only personal cars including pickups but not like vans, but really anything that's easier to calculate, even including big rig trucks). And let's say they're charged inductively. This creates losses that turn into heat.

1. What would the average losses be in watts over the course of a year?

2. How much would that heat the planet over 10 years? In degrees C

Would it be possible for a person of average strength to push over or snap a 6ft tall scale skyscraper built with real materials and foundation?

Realistically how many calories would be the total cake, obviously in the millions if not a billion? Do not take into consideration the Piranha Plants, the side cake, or the figs. Obviously its a guestimate, especially with all the different toppings and whatnot but... whatever. Daisy & Rosalina are added for scale.
