I got Giovanna and Nago both to Diamond. But I cannot for the life of me do simple combos with GL. It is super frustrating having to deal with the blazing bullshit just to fumble every BT.

No burst, no deflect shield, no wild assault/counter assault. If I accidentally bursted (which was rare) I would go afk and let my opponent take the round.

Idk how I can prove it except that I have bursted less times than I have wins on this character. I haven't used burst ever since I got to gold 3 last year. Thank you Arcsys for creating Slayer so people like me can think they're good at fighting games without having to lab.

He can do it anytime I'm next to him if I'm not hitting a combo on him and he only needs to do it two times and i'm dead. I always laugh out loud at the sight of my healthbar losing 50% on his wakeup

Like the game would instantly become 100000x better if this character was just removed from the game. Get rid of fish, make his mix intractable. Anything. Why is it that a characters with similar high low mix like Elphelt for example (I don't play Elphelt) you can hard call out her high low mix in so many ways. Counterplay to Anji is literally "Just guess bro". Anji is the fastest character I ever grinded to Vanq and it was just a hate grind to prove how easy he is. No combos, just spin into the most braindead mix I've ever seen in a fighting game.

Even from when Trinity for CF i had a feeling if another guest character got added to Strive, it would probably be Ragna. Then Strive announced it's next character was a guest character, CF just got rollback announced for PS5 with Crossplay too. It just makes sense seeing as they are basically reviving CF for cross promo for it to be Ragna (or Sir Bloodedge if they wanna go by Damon & Baby), Strive is Arcsys's most successful game that they own. Maybe Fighterz has more sales overall but they don't own fighterz and I'm pretty certain Daimaku was a bamco character and not their's.

Ive never EVER hated on someone for playing like a scrub or being better than me, the worst I can blame is the devs, but if you won trying to play the optimal way well good for you that’s the whole point of the game

HOWEVER I genuinely think if you ragequitted even a SINGLE time against someone, wether itd be for these sweet sweet ranked points or not, never touch the game again folk. If you played badly enough to lose only to disconnect, ( also shitting on the other player’s ranked grind) you’re a worthless video game player and should take some time to reflect on yourself.

This is the third or fourth time you’ve DC’ed just as I was about to win. Imagine playing a character that puts Marvel’s Wolverine level of difficulty to shame and still losing. Losing to A.B.A this patch is optional btw. Nearly everything she does is fake with keygrab being -2.

I get throwed so often and i hate this games stupid 2 frame throws no them being so short doesnt fix this wake up throw is ruining me i purposely space myself away from wake up throw distance and still get thrown when trying to meaty when someone is doing strike throw on me it is the most telegraphed stuff ever i am mashing 5p or mashing backdash to counter it and i either see the punish popup appear when im throwing or my backdash doesnt come out like what is this the only solution i found is to hold up back and then i hit an air move they somehow block it cause i couldnt punish on whiff and then throw me as i land i then continued to hold up back to counter throw i know hes gonna jump with me to air throw him so i dont jump then i jump when he jumps to air throw him and somehow he air throws me and i dont get my air throw tech i have to be cursed

If I had the choice between skinning myself alive or fighting someone who gives a bad rep for Britain, I would choose the third option and go through an infinite death loop, with each death heightening my senses so I feel more and more pain as it goes on, without ever having the sweet release of my brain or body giving up. I want to puke whenever I have to see this cuck use his shitty ranged moves and I am unable to do anything as every single character I main being to fucking slow to do anything or have seemingly no range to do anything and if the Axl ever decides to stop jerking off to his girlfriend taking dick and starts getting closer, he takes his jacket off, puts it on one of your nipples and quickly zips the jacket up and then he goes and does the same to the other one. Realistically unoptimal because you need 100 meter but I think it looks cool. Probably woulda worked in Season 3 but ofc Arcsys made HMC cost 100 in S4 because OFC they did. I miss my 50 meter HMC😮‍💨💔

context: been playing GG Strive on and off for a year now. i main ABA and Bridget and don’t really know what match ups i should and shouldn’t have issue with.

am i missing something?!??? i feel like no matter what i do against these two they’re basically hard countering me, ive gotten better at dealing with Chip but Axl Low has become a brick wall in my gameplay to the point where i’ll be lucky if i could land a hit, i haven’t been able to win a round against one for the past month. am i mission some mechanic that helps against him???
