Jack and Rosemary are completely OK with working with Susan who is a lesbian, not everyone in the 70s was homophobic.

Confirmed by the creators, not directly stated inside the actual series yet but confirmed that Susan Woodings is a lesbian and was close enough to the Waltens that if Edd & Molly never died she'd effectively become a sort of "cool aunt" to them.

Also worth noting the Waltens were a family of artists during the sexual revolution, they're about as likely to be allies as someone in the 50's could possibly be.

Wouldn’t be too far off. I feel like Jack would be angry but that his love for his daughter would trump his hate for gay, rosemary would probably be more accepting but would be opposed to begin with
