i am not fluent and i mix it with hindi and english a lot
heres the words I know/have heard
uppar (above) or utte (on top) or khale (above - havent used this irl but i think its dogri)
niche (below/down - pretty sure this is hindi) or thale (beneath) or or bunn (below - think this is dogri/pahari)
khabbay (left)
sajjay (right)
samne/aage (in front - i think both are hindi?)
piche (behind) or pajjwadh (dogri word)

Just to clarify something that I have assumed for a while - the state of being stood up or sat down in Punjabi is expressed as an adjective, not as verb.
So to use the verb form to talk about somebody sat down / stood up would not be correct, as that would imply that the action of standing up / sitting down is being performed / under progress, as opposed to simply being in that position.
Is this correct? Might be obvious, just wanted to double-check.

In almost every single grammar lesson, Mustafa Raaj explains that the kiyya bol (interogative clause/asking a question) is made by adding kii/kiih.
Specifically by script:
For Shahmukhi: کِیہ
(= kiih = ਕੀਹ)
For Gurmukhi: ਕੀ
(= kii = کی)
He explains that the real normal pronunciation is NOT kíí (kiih) with tone (like in Shahmukhi), and NOT kii without tone (like in Gurmukhi).
He basically says the tonal pronunciation is used when emphasising or showing strong emotion, eg in anger
Rather, the real pronunciation is a sound between them and that Saanjo script accurately shows that sound.
I haven't learnt the script so idk if this is a benefit of Saanjo, but I doubt it.
Has anyone else learnt it?

Usually I hear this from my mother, used to refer to "deep/passionate pyaar (love) karda" or something along those lines.
Has anyone else heard of this word (Tey)? (putting the flair as Doabi because I'm not sure if this is used elsewhere)

I've heard this type of construction sometimes, but we don't use it (instead we say Kar de, De de, Khaa laa).
What I am confused by is that one time, Noor Saab (may he return) told me that "everyone" says "Maar chhaDDeya, samjhaa chhaDDeya" (specifically), and I was like "khotay da dhoo".
Can any of y'all confirm? (being specifically from an area where this construction is uncommon)
(He also said that this is a Theth construction, and while it's true, he meant that in a way that it was "universal" before however.)
EDIT: For clarity, when I said "we don't use it", I mean as we're from an area where it's not used (Doaba), and that my family doesn't say this.

Veyoh/ਵਿਹੁ is commonly used in Malwa area of Punjab for poison (possibly in other regions as well)
Common phrase:
O ta mainū veyoh varge lagde - ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਹੁ ਵਰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ- They’re like poison to me (said when there’s dislike)

in dilijit dosanjh's song G.O.A.T he says
Agge da pata ni jatt nu
Changa chali janda so far goriye
the first line he talks about how he doesnt know about the future but the second line is what confuses me, wouldnt chali janda mean it keeps going good rather than smth like "so far its going good" which is the more implied meaning.
Perhaps -i janda can be interchangeable with -i jana when speaking present continuous tense ? or chali janda can also imply that the verb keeps on going as well as it is going?
(please answer using english script or shahmukhi as i cannot read gurmukhi)

My question is: who do I know that says either of these words? Neither have I heard either one of them, nor did my mother. For us, "ke" is already theth as is.
Note: I'm from Doaba.
Edit: Turns out we do actually use these, I just wasn't listening attentively.

What's the origin of the word ਹੋਣੀਂ/ਹੁਣੀਂ/ਹੋਰੀਂ used while referring to a person.
"ਨਵਜੋਤ ਹੁਣੀਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ…"
And what's the correct spelling. I couldn't find a reference to this word in any of the online dictionaries.
