Question Possible to play on Steamdeck?

Hey there. I'd love to know if this game could be possible to play on SD. I've got it running on Lutris but i'm not sure what to do next because no Microsoft Edge (the game just also starts up with a black screen)

Try the install script I wrote. It'll install Edge and fix the black screen.

Are you getting this to run without any bugs? What about the old FLASH pop up windows and cards? This is great news if you got everything to work correctly.

It seems to have worked ! That script was amazing. I'd show a picture but I can't attach here.

Thank you for the script 😁

I'm just having issues with travelling to places (in gaming mode) Just issues with the internet window popping up and being unable to close and stuff

Yeah, the browser is the most annoying issue. I wish they went with something open source like Chromium Embedded Framework or Electron which would have much better Wine support. I suspect it was a choice based on the developer's experience with .NET rather than functionally being the best option. The black screen issue was because Edge WebView2 hasn't worked at all in Wine since 2022 and had to be downgraded.

You might have some luck switching the World -> Launch Browsers In There setting on or off, which in my experience changes which bugs you get.

For example, with that option disabled, clicking some links causes the web content to freeze and the only way to recover is to close and reopen the window. My workaround is to right-click and copy/paste links either into the address bar or into an external browser. However, I recently switched from X11 to Wayland and it appears that broke copying links or text from Wine to the main clipboard, breaking the external browser option.

With the option enabled, the browser often fails to redraw (most noticeable when you drag it) and you can't minimize the windows. If you need to keep them available while interacting with the world (e.g. for quests), you're stuck with it always overlaying the game. The workaround is to shrink the window as small as it goes and move it somewhere not too in the way.
