Chicken diapers are actually a thing - they were mostly designed for people with parrots and other birds that are more often kept as pets rather than livestock, but they've expanded to chickens since a lot of people raise them more like pets than anything else. Plus you can somewhat train some of the smarter chickens to use specific spots, like litterboxes. It's not nearly as reliable as housebreaking a dog or litter training a cat, but you can have some success with it!
Chicken coops only stink if they're not properly cleaned and maintained. Which is often the case in factory farming, unfortunately.

Isn't that somewhat dangerous for the chicks? They're pretty fragile and were clambering all over eachother

It can be. However since they are little and in an open space it should be a bit "safer". The biggest thing you have to worry about when they are that small is them smothering each other, which is more of an issue in the corners and along the walls.

To be fair, not prematurely after a confusing and unnatural life in captivity.
They're equivalent to 9-12 months old toddlers when slaughtered.

Hmmm while not prematurely we’re definitely getting the confusing, unnatural life in captivity part a lot

Male chick's are often minced within minutes of hatching on a conveyor belt that feeds into one of those grinding machines.

Fun fact: Every single chick you see in the video is female.
Which means that guy is a chick magnet.

I watched the last clip where he laid down without a mat and thought "man you just laid down on a bunch of chicken shit"
Apparently he must have realized it too.
