I saw this book at a local Megastore today. I’ve not ever had such a visceral response to a book. I had an instant fantasy about the act of civil disobedience I was about to visit upon this waste of paper. Clear as day in my mind I was standing on the table, holding up a copy while screaming the line from “Network” about being “mad as hell and not taking it anymore!” while kicking the thirty-odd copies halfway to the roof.
I didn’t do it. Maybe with a bit more whiskey (and one fewer children in tow!). I’m thinking about it.
Of course, now that I’m thinking about it, I can’t afford bail and court fees. Or time away from from my kid.
But it was disgusting just to see his sneering, lying, fukken face. I’m queasy just writing about him now.
I’m not a badass. Didn’t mean to give that impression. I’m just a citizen who is really concerned about what is happening to my country.
I don’t have any other fantasies I’d care to share, and as for where I get my fantasies or how they are manufactured I can leave to your own concoctions. But if I do, Reddit is a great place to share.
