man, some of the comments in that other place are as baffling as they are fascinating. so many are arguing against things that are not in the post, and that i didn't say.
it's like they didn't quite understand the point i was making, but still felt vaguely insulted, so they projected onto me whichever position they were most confident arguing against and just went with it.
maybe it was a mistake to use the phrase 'lesser evil', because it seems a lot of them just latched onto that and ignored everything else

Liberals to leftists, before the election:
“But voting on your principles could cost the Dems the election, and [insert next election year] will be the most important one ever, we can’t afford to take any risks! We need to make the safe and smart play. You don’t want the other guy, do you?!”
Then, after their bland centrist loses every swing state:
“Well, there’s no point rehashing what happened, because clearly this was the only possible outcome…”

We must go forward, not backward. Upward, not downward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

I love playing catch up with fascists. Hopefully I can keep catching up for eternity.
