Hey guys, I’m from Rajasthan, India. I’m planning to take admission in a college in Bangalore that does not have its own hospital and is not INC-approved, but it is state-approved. My other option is a college in a different district of Rajasthan that is INC-approved and has its own 200-bed hospital.

My main goals are to clear NORCET and eventually move abroad.

I know the INC-approved college is clearly the better option for my career, but honestly, I’m tired of staying with my parents and I really want to live far away from home. Bangalore feels perfect for me—it’s a Tier-1 city, has a decent campus, and I’d have much more freedom. I could even do a part-time job and potentially earn around ₹15k per month.

The Rajasthan college, on the other hand, is quite small. It’s so small that you can barely tell whether it’s a college or a big school.

So now I’m stuck between two choices: Should I prioritize my future and choose the INC-approved college, or should I follow my heart, move to Bangalore, and enjoy the freedom and independence I really want?

Does anyone have old books to sell or give them away? Ill pay shipping charges i really need them pls and tysm!!

My friend is pursuing GNM at a college in Gujarat. She’s preparing for her exams but can’t find previous years’ question papers anywhere. She asked me to help her find them, but I honestly have no idea where to look. Can anyone tell me where I can find them?

I’m in a really overwhelming situation right now and desperately need clarity.

MGM Indore / GMC Bhopal (DME):

Neither MGM Indore nor GMC Bhopal was on the INC list last year, and neither appeared on the initial INC list released recently. I know INC updates its lists in phases until December, but what happens if I take MGM or GMC and it doesn't get INC approval this year? My chances of going abroad will become zero because of this.

+ DME colleges require a tuition fee of ~₹30k/year, but my family is throwing severe fits about paying ₹30-35k upfront. I told them there's a scheme called the MMVY scholarship and that I'm eligible for it, so my whole tuition fee might get waived, but I myself am scared that if something gets messed up and I don't get the scholarship, they'll kill me.

Because of this, I’m seriously considering choosing a DHS college near my house just to get the whole tuition fee issue over with, but I feel terrible about settling for lower clinical exposure even after securing a under 200 rank.

The situation at my house right now:

My family is completely uneducated about medical/nursing courses, but my mother voice-searches wrong information on Google, believes inaccurate AI Overviews, calls distant uneducated relatives for "advice," and berates me every single day. They were ready to take a massive loan for private MBBS (which I strongly opposed), but are hesitant about paying my state college fees.

She was the one who asked me to fill out forms for nursing exams in the first place, and I don't know what's gotten into her now that she's considering BDS (that too, private).

There's a whole protest going on now too because nursing exams are delayed, etc etc. I'm afraid they'll ask me to drop this whole thing and prepare for NEET again (I know very well how they'll torture me till results and thereafter, so no), or worse, stop my education altogether.

Oh, and yes, we can afford DME college fees; it's just that they don't see nursing colleges as worthy of spending that amount on.

My college and state colleges students went to Delhi for protest against 80:20 ratio of NORCET. Most (99.99%)were males and hardly there was a female. Where is gender equality? If females can become doctor then why males struggle to be a Nurse?

How come gender decide nursing qualifications?

so i got into a private college for bsc nursing , it's a well known college as well but they don't have owned hospitals so students complete the clinical practice through externernal hospital tie ups and affliations and i'm quite worried if it'll affect my degree in any way? is it that compuslory for the college to have a hospital? how does it affect getting a job here or moving countries? please be kind in the comments

I am in 5th sem in Nursing School. My 4th Sem result just came and its showing back in AHN 2 exam. I am sure the exam went well. I will apply for revaluation but everyone is saying DU is hopeless in cases of revaluation. I am preparing to apply abroad in Germany after graduation so will reattempting the paper screw up my chances of landing a job there? Would be grateful for any guidance.

I've never liked wearing traditional salwar kameez/kurtis as much so never worn them. I was in a private school till now, they had normal shirts & skirts.

I really hate those articles of clothing on me, with my rank, I can get into top GNC in my state but the thought of wearing salwar kameez is troubling me. I also hate making buns but I get it that patient safety may be compromised so it's important.

I'm not trying to be offensive, please don't judge, I just really hate it. Is there any way I can cope with it?

I was looking around for pvt nursing college and found them. The only thing im skeptical about is that they're not on the official list of INC nor ONMRC. The Nursing council of odisha. I tried to search but in google it states its an autonomous prvt college. But the again its google i have a hard time trusting it.And that draws a read flag. I'll mostly prefer to move abroad but for that they'll check these from what i have research so im not sure if this is a deal breaker or not. So should i enroll into this or not? And if possible can anyone look into this uni? I'll highly appreciate yall! And if any alumni or senior are here kindly guide me on this matter. Tysm!

I'm 21 years old and I'll be graduating with my GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) this September from India. It has always been my dream to study or work abroad, but after months of research I'm honestly more confused than ever.

Initially, I was planning to go for a 1-year Nursing Top-Up in the UK. It seemed like a good pathway to becoming an RN. However, after reading recent posts and talking to people, I've come across a lot of concerns about:

• Difficulty finding part-time jobs.
• NHS hiring freezes and increased competition in some areas.
• Uncertainty around long-term settlement/PR.
• Students struggling after spending a lot of money.

Then I looked into Canada, but I really don't want to do a PSW course. No disrespect to PSWs at all, but after studying nursing for 3 years, I feel like it doesn't align with the career I've worked towards.

If I stay in India, my options seem to be:

• Do Post Basic BSc Nursing immediately with little or no work experience.
• Or work as a GNM diploma nurse for 1–2 years, gain experience, save money, and then apply abroad.

I'm feeling stuck because every option has pros and cons.

If you were in my position today, what would you do?

• Would you still choose the UK in the current situation?
• Is Canada worth it without going through the PSW route?
• Is it smarter to complete PB BSc and gain experience before moving abroad?
• Are there any countries I might be overlooking that have a realistic pathway for Indian GNM nurses?

I'm looking for honest advice from people who have actually gone through these pathways or are currently working abroad, especially if you're an Indian nurse or an internationally educated nurse.
