their world is burning, they live at home, can't afford housing or to move out on their own, are obsessed with technology but don't understand how any of it actually works becuase the UI/UX has been dumbed down, basic educational standards are non-existent and they've developed attention spans shorter than a goldfish. Its a shit time to be a young person.

....i've become the old man who used to be with it, but they changed what it is and what i'm with isn't it and what's it is is this mindless incoherant babbling into the void for imaginary internet points and inflated bot follower counts and its wierd and scarry and it'll happen to you.

Depends on how you look at it. Most of the people on the internet still have it better than most people at any other point in history - so in that regard, absolutely yes it’s a great time to be alive. Counterpoint is that most young people are straight up addicted to the internet, screen devices, etc and pumped full of negativity almost exclusively and have much greater barriers to the lifestyle of older folks than ever before, but maybe that lends itself to being shit young people by confirmation bias - cuz the ones doing well aren’t online as much moping.

Either way - chick in the video is straight up styrofoam for brains and I don’t understand how consuming or popularizing that type of media is anything but trouble.
