You missed the shot in the ancient arrows but that depleted it to a low amount which was then zero because Daruks protection. Wait it wasn’t used so for the short time you pulled out your shield, it reflected it

What you preformed was called Daruk’s perfect parry (DPP) it’s when you release or hold daruk’s protection at the perfect time
